Re: solutions to the cyberpunk problem

https://twitter.com/FFD8FFDB http://prostheticknowledge.tumblr.com/ http://new-aesthetic.tumblr.com/ aft3r.us hyperdub.net That Quechua video was a great progression on the one from the end of SS14 https://vimeo.com/89358873 which had a bit too much "cyberpunk aesthetic" for my taste (the ...

Re: News/Current Events, discussion (Bullets, Ballots & Bomb

Agree with you in general. Longterm (10+ years) it's a crapshoot (Who knows how the EU will cope+The intolerable lightness of populism). But there's still plenty of time within 5 years for it to go to hell. All we've done so far is vote. No article 50 engagement, no negotiations. Expecting the econo...

Re: News/Current Events, discussion (Bullets, Ballots & Bomb

There's still plenty of time for dire economic forecasts to come true. The idea that the world would fall over in six months was far fetched but I don't know who believed it. Surely the effects will be convoluted, far reaching, barely understandable on a human timescale? (food prices rising seems to...

Re: News/Current Events, discussion (Bullets, Ballots & Bomb

Do you mean the overwhelming support he has within the party that shows no sign of abating. I mean I'm not crazy about him, but they tried a coup, it didn't work.. He obviously has some support... Somewhere. He does seem useless in opposition viewed through the mainstream media though. Hard brexit l...

Re: What are you reading today/book club

Generally agree on the cyberpunk fiction front. It's no longer necessary and the dirty future fetishisation is fun but most fetishes aren't really as fun once they're in a Disney film. That said I bought some issues of http://www.aft3r.us/ and I've been enjoying having it around, though it's more li...

Re: Ask a question, get an answer

Uniqlo has been doing these for the last two years (collarless ULD and part of the UUUUUU collection) and a bunch of Japan brands are doing "down cardigans" or "liner jackets" at the moment. Feels a bit importcore to me but I know that's some people's deal. I'd guess they aren't ...

Re: random fashion jersey tucks

I thought the craig show was OK. I like how it's all monotone (except when it isn't)

I like monotone outfits

Don't know about the whole sailor concept. Seems pretty lame.

Re: I don't know what I want (Buyer's guide)

On the hunt for a new black jumper. Needs to be black, thin and not have heavy ribbing so I can easily wear a long sleeve t shirt under it and not have the hem interfere, so more like a long sleeve black merino wool tshirt than a jumper.

No smocks.

Re: We don't run on this high street; we run this high stree

Probably the best COS sales season in years. EDIT: I didn't get much, mostly replacements for nondescript things I already own. I got this: http://www.cosstores.com/gb/Men/Sweatshirts_Tops/Sweatshirts/High-neck_drop_shoulder_sweatshirt/10605336-57900309.1#57900312 in blue, which is very nice though

Re: I don't know what I want (Buyer's guide)

I think everything piles, at least my margaret jumper had loads of piling. I dealt with it with one of those cashmere combs. Probably the main issue with buying knitwear from uniqlo (i have plenty) is the cost cutting measures that must have lead to the jumper costing a tenth of what margaret is ask...

Re: We don't run on this high street; we run this high stree

It's a fashion forum pirx. AKA a nostalgic bruce chatwin object fetishism forum.

Pretty sure distilling things down to only the elements that can be instagrammed is a dorm room teen syndrome trait. Watch out, you might have been compromised.
