Re: Lift things up and put them down.

If there aren't any stores in your area the best thing is to order from an online store with free returns so you can order a bunch and send the rest back. I'd suggest getting your street shoe size and maybe half a size down from a couple different brands on some entry-level (nonaggressive) shoes to ...

Re: feeltalk thread

My sister fainted after her swim practice early today. My parents took her to the hospital to see what happened and it turned out to just be due to dehydration, but Jesus Christ I don't think I've ever been that scared in my life.

Re: 2014 Style Resolutions

Get below 12% bodyfat It's so much easier to dress yourself when you're not concerned about hiding extra weight and are comfortable with your body. Also I'm storing more fat in my face now than a couple years ago, so get rid of that. Find a hairstyle I like Such a freaking struggle to be happy with...

Re: Green Thumbs

Soundclip, I actually can't figure out what species it is. The friend who gave it to me didn't remember what the person at the nursery told him and I haven't found pictures of a similar plant anywhere. Apologies for the potato-pics but this is what it looks like: http://i.imgur.com/XOGR1g0.jpg http:...

Re: Green Thumbs

Friend got me a bonsai at our late Christmas party yesterday. I spent all of today researching bonsai care still have so many questions. Does the ledge outside of my window count as outdoors? Or does the residual temperature difference from my room affect it?

Re: ramdom fashion thoughts

do folks here ever wear stuff just to incite a rise? When I wear more out-there stuff I tend to think of it like I'm trying to persuade people that certain things, that they may have written off, can actually work. So stuff like straight-leg pants or sock with sandals, that most people think of as ...

Re: Ask a question, get an answer

I don't have experience with Sunspel's Sea Island shirts in person but AFAIK their price in a combination of the specific cotton they use, limited production, and that they're made in a quaint little factory by middle-aged British women. I'm personally a fan of Sunspel's regular tees, so just to tal...

Re: overdressed, undereducated: let's talk about school!

Yeah my experience in science and engineering classes at university is that getting B's and C's on tests is a lot more common for the majority of people. I don't actually know how most people do grades-wise though, but there is a significant amount of "C get degrees" people. I'm not a fan ...

Re: overdressed, undereducated: let's talk about school!

Pretty happy with where I am with my education, all things considered. After graduating high school I went to a UC as a biomed engineering major because my parents told me to. Issues with depression and drug use kinda came to a head and I ended up failing nearly all my classes for two quarters and d...

Re: Lift things up and put them down.

Kinda different since it has seemingly serious symptoms (instability, pain, clickingx10) in the acute phase of the injury. Definitely doing more epsom salt baths and deep tissue massages though.

Re: Drunk Thread for Drunk Posting and Nobody Else is Allowe

Is the long thanksgiving weekend a bad time to ask someone out? There's this girl in my monday class that I wanna ask, I honestly don't know her that well (we've talked like a couple times) but that's the point of going out right? To get to know people. But my family doesn't have a really strong tra...

Re: Lift things up and put them down.

Has anyone experienced shoulder bursitis? Got it from overuse and have been out of exercise for almost a month now. Finally saw my doctor after having to reschedule a bunch of times and got some exercises to do to repair it. He said it should be healed in two weeks, but curious as to other peoples e...

Re: feeltalk thread

I feel like I'm always getting minor injuries and it's really frustrating. Right now there's this impingement in my right shoulder, last week my knee was acting up again, before that I tweaked my ankle, partial A2 pulley tear in two of my fingers before that, etc. I'm trying to do all the right thin...

Re: what's love got to do got to do with it

Yeah Stingray, as someone who was in the same position as her a couple years ago, I think the best thing that you can do is be open with her about your concern, but understand that this is likely something she'll have to work through largely on her own and that you can only try to help and point her...
