Thank you

Thank you for the lovely flowers and thank you for your support over the years and especially now during the hardest time. On every level 2020 has been horrid but having nice friends and strangers makes it bearable.

Re: Ask a question, get an answer

These are called 'Anxiety Shoes'. They were designed to keep the wearer on edge - constantly in fear someone close behind would step on the laces dragging behind them and interrupt a step or even cause a trip. I prefer the updated version which was a rain shoe that featured a fabric sole to ensure t...

Re: office trainers

This is not an English thing. I've never been anywhere (apart from photo studios where you need to be careful to keep the floor clean) where you just go around in socks like a total animal. I'm all for going barefoot but SOCKS seems like the worst of all worlds.

Re: office trainers

My only coworker is Katy but she makes me wear a dinner suit for work hours. She, on the other hand, is wearing a Biggie Smalls tee from 2001 and has toothpaste on her cheek.

Re: Ask a question, get an answer

Its a bit over 100 but the KLÄTTERMUSEN Fimmafang 3.0 is what I've been using for months and completely worth the dosh. Theres a smaller one which is cheaper but the big one is the winner.

Re: Veganarchism

I made a nice seitan thing the other year and we have had a kind of nut loaf Wellington thing but I find myself liking the veg way more anyway so now I just make loads more roast veg. I reckon this year I won’t bother making a meat substitute.

Re: Travail en Famille

Really nice! I really can't get down with silk but I really like the look and feel of this all it feels really lovely.

Markups and margins are a good reason not to get into wholesale - I often thought the same but as time has gone on I've started to understand their place a bit more.

Re: random fashion jersey tucks

Fashion brands don’t do bedding because buyers won’t buy it. Bedding is impossible to sell without a good display and clothing stores don’t have the space or care. We have had bedding available to buy since basically the first season and no one has picked it up - same with patchwork throws. We are g...

Re: Technology

Plenty of 'meatspace' data is insecure! If you're worried about privacy and security you have to take steps to own your own data or minimise your exposure.

Re: Technology

I watched the livestream as usual and while I know there's a lot of incredible new underlying tech and software in the X I found it all really underwhelming. Maybe it's because most of it was leaked, maybe it's because I'm tired of Apple acting like they invented tech that's been on the market for y...

FYI for the last month and a half (more or less) I've been following a vegan ketogenic diet.
