Re: Somehow the chic home of the George Lucas museum

I'll be in the Chicago area from the 17-20th. @rjbman and I were planning on possibly meeting up on the 20th around lunchtime. Anyone else in Chicago interested?

Re: All is Full of Love

I'm going to preface this post with - I've been posting too much, sorry. I love y'all and I'm happy to be active on c-t again! I've been with my boyfriend for about 1.5 years now. Things are okay. They were better before, and over the past 3-4 months the relationship has been stale and full of bicke...

Re: What are you reading today/book club

I don't read a lot. I think I read maybe 2 books in 2015 (The Goldfinch and Gone Girl). Does anyone have any recommendations for books geared towards someone who is getting back into reading? Ideally I'd like to read one book a month. Nothing too difficult, but I want to be challenged at the same ti...

Re: School

For those that are no longer in school - how do you keep learning? Either for work or personal development.

I feel like there's so much that I want to learn more about, but I'm just lacking the motivation to get started.

Re: The Whine Club

I've worked every night Monday-Thursday for the past three months. I'm at the office from 8-5pm normal US hours and then have to get back online/on conference calls at 9pm-11pm. One night, we were working from 8pm-2am! ughhhh

Re: School

Does anyone here have an MBA? I've been thinking about doing a part time/reputable online one so I can continue working while studying. I'm in Corporate IT now, but I'd like to switch to pure business further along in my career. At this point, I don't feel prepared qualifications wise or experience ...

Re: What are you reading today/book club

I started listening to Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari today during my morning commute. It's pretty good! Fulfills my need for something upbeat and high energy while on the highway at 7am. Nothing revolutionary, at least not yet. If you liked the OkCupid statistics blog posts, you'd probably like this...

Re: Feelings

so like the idiot/adventurer that I am, I bought some wholesale at-home chemical peels to do for fun. I've been doing them for about a year without any problems. I did a peel on Tuesday with horrible results - red skin, bumps everywhere. After all the redness subsided, I've been left with quite a lo...

Re: homes, houses, and abodes

I'm so tired of looking at apartments. I've probably viewed 10 over the past couple of weeks. Posted about a great space a while ago but the tenant renewed their lease :( I'm looking at another place later this week that fits all my (picky) criteria. It has a garage AND a cellar, which is pretty muc...

It just dawned on me today how incredibly happy I've been the past year. Not everything has gone perfectly, but I've been overwhelmingly content, cheerful, and positive regardless of the outside world. I can't remember the last time I've cried out of sadness (outside of books/movies), but I laugh ev...

Interpol is coming to my city soon! Cue nostalgia for Antics and Turn on the Bright Lights.

Also, bands similar to La Dispute? I'm just starting to get into that genre of music.

Re: about a girl

Are we still talking about makeup here? I'm obsessed, and I have been for years now.
