Re: random fashion jersey tucks

I just cut my hair, going from it hitting middle shoulder blade on my back to now barely having any and I feel completely detached from the wardrobe I built around my identity as a fashion rebellious longhair. I feel like this is a clean slate type situation but I mostly feel lost.

Re: I don't know what I want (Buyer's guide)

chinos or casual trousers with around an 8inch leg opening without a real strong taper and 13in thighs for in a 32in waist, i feel like everyone made these pants when I didn't want them and now skinny pants rule the world and I cannot find casual pants that don't smother my legs. Dickies (874) are s...

Re: Photography thread

Anyone have any experience with cheapo amazon lighting kits? Trying to get something more substantial set up my vintage resale endeavors and waiting for good lighting for two hours a day just isn't cutting it and also objectively does not look good. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask! @alby jus...

Re: School

Wrongfully given an A- based on the syllabus, e-mailed my professor and it was all a mistake in the end. Grade being changed, semester #3 of straight as in the bag.. only 4 more to go, plus i've taken the majority of my major coursework already. Going back to undergrad after being a fool for two yea...

Re: WANTED (dead or alive)

blackwatch pants, not wool (this seems to be the most prohibitive requirement) fullish cut in 32, other cool plaid patterns are welcome but i'm having so little luck w vintage and prep stuff. Brooks brothers has a good option but $120 for BB is insulting however i am considering it if they continue ...

Re: Skateboarding

finally after 4 months of skating nearly every day I started to work on kickflips today! hoping to land one before it starts snowing and I can't really skate (pgh has no indoor parks). accepted the fact that this will take me a while so I'm just trying to break it down mechanically and focus on ever...

Re: random fashion jersey bibs

I got street style photo'd yesterday by a bunch of yeezy disciples for wearing a cav empt shirt. Later I went to urban outfitters and was asked if 'we had ___ in stock in ___" by 4 different people. I do not work there. I don't know how to feel, mostly flattered, slightly sad.

Re: Hair

fwiw my partner just bleached her hair and it turned out well and alive bc she covered it in coconut oil overnight before hand, I guess it helps the bleach as well as keeps your hair hydrated before and after bleaching it, at least this is what the internet says it does! Was seriously night and day ...

Re: Coffee and tea-vee

If you're going to charge $6 for any 12oz or less drink you better be paying your baristas well. There isn't a single shop in Pittsburgh that goes over $4 for a pourover that isn't a geisha or limited varietal, no one in coffee makes shit here though. On the other side, those from Philly, what are y...

Re: Skateboarding

Are the slip on pros as sick as I imagine they are? also 874s are like $13 for prime day. pulled a shoulder muscle while skating around and i'm pretty much down for the count, tried to skate on it today and something about balancing made it even worse, left half of my body goes in and out of intense...

Re: Coffee and tea-vee

I just started working at a shop that serves Verve, which somehow I had never had (no other shop in Pittsburgh has carried them) but oh boy is it good. Been loving all my drinks with their espresso blend, pretty easily the best profile I've ever tasted for milk drinks. Super hyped on geisha season i...

Re: Cultural appropriation

general cultural sensitivity as well, esp if you're white, there's such a legacy of violent appropriation that I think you should try and be as aware as possible of what you've struggled with vs other people and if you think there's a chance its inapproriate its because it is. I personally could not...
