Re: School

Becoming quite frustrated with my Botany professor. I took the course hoping to learn more re: how plants work, how they've evolved, the processes that drive them, etc. The course has been somewhat helpful with that so far, but the teaching style is throwing me off.He refuses to use a book, and inst...

Re: random fashion jersey tucks

http://www.gq.com/story/tom-ford-interview-nocturnal-animals-moty I've not read any other interviews with the man, but wow does this interview make Tom Ford sound like an insufferable prick(maybe this is already widely known and I'm behind). Not even in the funny way. He just sounds horrid. Some ex...

Re: Feelings

I think my grandma is only a month or two away from passing away as a result of complications from a lifetime of smoking. However, she's still 100% cognizant and aware of her surroundings, not senile in the slightest. Anyways, she called me last night and cried to me on the phone and kept telling me...

Re: Skateboarding

Honestly I think other skaters in your area are your absolute number one resource. I might just be weird so you can take this with a grain of salt but I've been skating for 10 years now and no how-to video has ever helped me actually learn something. If you have a local park or there's one nearby, m...

Re: Ask a question, get an answer

For anyone who has had experience owning or trying on DBSS sneakers, what did you think? Is the quality up to par? Do they fit TTS? Is it even worth bothering? etc. Been browsing fromjapan listings and a few of them have appealed to me, looking in the sub $200 range.

Re: random fashion jersey bibs

really enjoyed this article about how Banana Republic started as a safari brand I was surprised to see my very own nana-vest in the scan transparenti posted! I found it at goodwill in my hometown last year or something, and bought it on a whim, not really knowing how I'd like it. It's actually beco...

Re: Trasparenti's Fun-Time Mystery Care Packs

My package came in today! It arrived in a box for oranges, which was very cute. Thanks transparenti for including me in this, still so super stoked, and happy to try out some new stuff. First up is this cyderhouse sweater. The graphic is soooooo incredibly cool but it fits a bit small on me, so I th...

Re: Here is ramdomthought!

Left a load of laundry in the washing machine when I left home for a few hours, as the cycle was still finishing up. When I got back, one of my roommates had apparently had a very strong urge to do their laundry right at that moment, so they unloaded mine (fine), and put it in the dryer on presumabl...

Re: random fashion thoughts

I had a duct tape wallet for like almost two years in high school, subtle black on the outside, flashy neon orange accents on the inside. It served me well until it essentially disintegrated.

Re: Coffee and tea-vee

CMYK yung_lunchables Update on the chemex situation. I believe that I was maybe using water that was a bit too cool. I had been waiting sometimes close to two minutes off of boil, but more recently started to use water that was more like 20 seconds off boil (I don't have a thermometer so it's just ...

Re: The Lab (fit experiments, feedback and suggestions)

So I bought this APC double rider thing off of rakuten. The pictures aren't super clear so I should specify that it isn't leather; it's this thick sort of canvas-y type material. I'm just wondering if it looks silly to have a double rider that hits around the middle of my fly as opposed to being sup...

Re: Coffee and tea-vee

Any opinions regarding Chemex? I got one recently and have been slightly disappointed, if I'm being honest. I have gone through one bag of medium roast Sumatran and am currently on a bag of Ethiopia Reko from Heart Roasters. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty device and the cups it has been producing...

Some very skated-in nikes. Shoe goo has made them quite a bit uglier (see spoiler), but has greatly extended their lifespan.

Re: Hardcore grinding

I put chap stick on before I went to bed and still woke up with cracked, dry lips. At this point, I'm heavily considering setting an alarm in the middle of the night just so I can wake up and apply chap stick.

Re: The Lab (fit experiments, feedback and suggestions)

I enjoy the shirt+shoes combination. As far as jeans go, I would prefer a cut that was fuller and less tapered, but still hit at right around the same area of your ankle.

Re: ramdom jorts

So my dad rents a house on farm property (thanks Wisconsin) and due to this there's a lot of cats around all of the time. When I've been out at his house, I've noticed quite a strange cat-related phenomenon. We feed the cats in question quite a bit, and they are often walking to and from our house. ...

Re: Rak city

If anybody can confirm that these are a "regular" 9 (I wear a nine in vans eras and pf flyers) and that the quality is alright, I am prepared to buy. I need some new sneakers anyways and was looking at regular converse the other day. These would be near perfect.

Enter into alby 's world. I was at a party with him the other night and he started telling me about "this insane music I found in a care-tags thread." He asked permission of the host, and then plugged in his ipod and started playing Oneohtrix Point Never on full blast. Everyone in the room...
