Re: Skateboarding

Went to the Adidas Away Days premier here in Seoul. Video was awesome. Premier was cool.. Rooftop with free food/drinks and most of the Adidas team was flown out which surprised me.. Especially seeing Daewon since he was barely in the video. Definitely a must watch with So many good parts and great ...

Re: Skateboarding

Assuming that most have seen this but I got a good laugh out of it. I really like WKND's skaters and I think they have a cool art direction. And who doesn't love them some Koston? fagYhXWqPVY And his welcome to the team skate edit..I loved it when they tried to re-enact his ''footage''from the Tony ...

Re: Films

Recently had the pleasure of watching a few films I really enjoyed, a couple of which I had been meaning to see for some time.. Wild Tales (Argentina, 2014) http://www.valleyfilmsociety.org/images/films/wildtales.jpg I had been wanting to see this for a while, and I'm assuming many/most of you have ...

Re: Telly thread

@ramdomthought sorry for the delayed response. I am a bit of a Louis C.K. fanboy I guess you could say. It feels really genuine to me. but I did think it was a great show even with him put aside. All of the actors gave really compelling performances, and as someone who has spent (maybe too much?) ti...

Re: Telly thread

Been on a bit of a TV bender lately as I've been a bit under the weather. Watched Seasons 3 & 4 of Luther and thoroughly enjoyed them, though I think Season 2 is my favourite. Idris Elba is such a great actor, I think I could enjoy him in almost anything. Also finally got around to watching Hora...

Those are some great picks.. I also really like the art on Magenta skateboard decks... and I am a bit of a fanboy of anything Evan Hecox has done for Chocolate over the years.

Re: Coffee and tea-vee

@fun_yunchables Terra Rosa is a decent coffee shop, they have a couple locations in Seoul itself as well.. there are a million 'nice' coffee shops here that really send it home in terms of interior design/concept or attention to detail.. but only a couple that really take it to the next level in act...

Re: Coffee and tea-vee

Would love to get in on the next one if people want to go international. There are 2 roasters here in Seoul that I am a really big fan of that have a variety of interesting/good roasts.

Re: Travel

Spending Christmas (Dec 20-Jan1) in Paris and Antwerp for my honeymoon. It's the first time for both of us, would love any tips you have for places to shop and places to eat or drink coffee/enjoy a book that don't break the bank. Would love to know of some archive or consignment shops as there are a...

Re: Films

for anyone who is down with Korean film, The Royal Tailor is an interesting, enjoyable, and at times funny movie about an emerging "fashion designer" in Joseon era Korea, where everyone basically dressed the same. The protagonist draws the ire of the longstanding tailor for the Korean roya...

Re: overdressed, undereducated: let's talk about school!

Just got back the mark for the last research paper of my undergrad degree (maybe my life..who knows).. it was a long paper on a dry subject and I struggled with it, especially with the idea that it was worth 50% of my grade in that class..after handing it in I thought for sure I bombed and was hopin...

http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2014/11/24/good-game Robert Morris University, in Illinois, has added League of Legends, a “multiplayer online battle arena” game, as a varsity team sport, and this semester the program began awarding athletic scholarships. he probably should have specified that ro...

Re: Films

I thought John Wick was pretty enjoyable to be honest. Yeah it was totally over the top and Keanu was...well, Keanu, but some of the scenes were really well done and the fighting was cool. Also kinda liked the comic book type 'assassins underworld' they created. Just good entertainment which is some...

Re: Television rules the nation

I have seen the entire first season of Outlander and I feel like it's amazing in every area ( acting, production value, costumes, concept, etc.), but for some reason I just don't find myself enjoying it that much. Maybe I'm spoiled by all the other shows I watch that constantly provide me with easy ...

Re: overdressed, undereducated: let's talk about school!

Decided to take a black and white photography class this semester...it might be the lowest mark I ever get in class... we had todo photograms the other day and I got a low score because the professor said the writing I did on mine was ''illegible''....it was Korean.

Re: Ask a question, get an answer

Anyone here short (under 5'9) and have RO drop crotch sweatpants? I'm looking at a pair but am concerned by the length, could hem them a bit but too much and then the crotch is way too low and it might look funny..

Re: overdressed, undereducated: let's talk about school!

Was wearing my Robert Geller flight pants (that I bought on c-t from germinal) at University the other day and walked past a guy who said ''look at how fucking short that fucking fags pants are'' . The words directed at me didn't bother me in the slightest, but the fact that people still talk and th...

Talk to someone else about it ASAP and then casually say to him that you were out for coffee with someone (or something) and that you guys had a really great idea you were excited to work on together. Or the cute girl thing.
