Re: We don't run on this high street; we run this high stree

The new Uniqlo U seersucker jacket/trouser combo is actually primo casual suit material. Fun features include a hidden button behind the lapel so you can fasten it higher up for a minor increase in warmth and a hidden coin pocket in one of the patch pockets. Gonna be a pretty solid spring summer sta...

Re: Travail en Famille

Got one of the last of the Meadow shirts before the Notre Jardin collection went offline for good, absolute beauty. Nice and thick fabric, the giant print looks great and there are loads of fun little details all over the piece, see the attached album for pics. It's a big hit with my textile student...

Re: Music is my boyfriend

Anyone here know Jacob Mann? He's mainly known for making the (hilarious) One Minute Jazz Lessons series on YT but he's got some actual projects out which are extremely good. One Minute Jazz Lesson: 77Hgt1kzHe4 Jacob Mann Big Band (featuring all three members of Moonchild on horns and Louis Cole fro...

Re: math is fake

also in physics we do more "application in the real world" problems so when we take the integral of something, these pieces aren't infinitely small correct? they're actually as small as an electron or quark right; they're finitely small. because nothing in the real world can be smaller th...

Anyone watch the YT channel 3blue1brown? Excellent maths content with good animation to make it super easy to understand while being a step above NumberPhile in terms of depth.

Re: Music is my boyfriend

Just found out that most of DJ Sprinkles' tracks are mastered in such a way that they're really quiet at normal volume. Listened to Midtown 120 Blues with the volume turned up for the first time and it was like hearing a whole new record. Unfortunately, my headphones don't pick up the deep bass tone...

Re: Silver Lining Playbook

This thread needs a revival When you get some new shoes that go with everything :-) When your code does what it's supposed to after running for a long time :-) Being warm when you're outside on a cold day :-) When you're at a gig / set and that song you love comes on and you just mentally drop every...

When you find that ONE line in your code that's been throwing everything off after days of searching and it turns out that it's just because you copied a function from earlier and forgot to change the arguments.

Re: Music is my boyfriend

Very briefly met Floating Points after a set to ask him what the last track he played was. He said he didn't remember and began to leave but as he was walking away through the crowd he stopped and typed something on a random guy's phone and pointed at me. Turned out to be the name of the artist whic...

Re: random fashion jersey tucks

I wish Muji would expand its fashion branch in the UK more. Had a proper look in the Soho store for the first time today and it was pretty much like Uniqlo but with much nicer feeling fabrics for the same price. Obviously, lots of people would be into this but you have to go all the way to a store o...

Re: I don't know what I want (Buyer's guide)

My ankle boots are finally giving out and they aren't being stocked any more so I want to find something that will fill the niche. idc if they're chukkas or chelsea boots or whatever as long as they're plain toed, this sort of brown colour and have a similar not-pointy-but-not-stubby silhouette. Re: Ask a question, get an answer

I have a pair of the black selvedge skinnies and they're pretty nice, the material feels tougher than the non selvedge ones I had earlier and while they're stiffer at first they break in fairly soon after buying. idk about sizing but I got them in the same size as I get most of my bottoms in, althou...

When academics are unclear in their writing so you have to spend 2 hours carefully picking through a text to make sure it's proving what you think it is and all this time you know it probably is but you just don't know for sure.

Re: Bags

Just copped this one from Rains as a new uni backpack. http://i.imgur.com/LzkrbcEl.jpg Mini review: Despite the minimalism, it's a lot more practical than I was expecting. Re: You Ain't Got No Yeezy In Your Threadlist?

Ultra Light Beams was decent, Freestyle 4 was great, the rest of the album was pretty underwhelming to be honest. The whole event felt quite similar to the album, hastily put together and not quite finished.

I'm still not convinced that I didn't dream the Only One video game.

Re: Ask a question, get an answer

I tried on the Universal Works Aston Pants in wool today and they were absolutely perfect except for being a size too large. Does anyone know any stockists that still have the Olive wool pair in a 30 waist? Failing that, anyone know any similar green wool trus? http://www.universalworks.co.uk/media/...

Trying to install a python module that would make my life a whole lot easier with this physics project but it turns out I need a whole bunch of other files that I can only get if I wade through a sea of horrendous web design and general user-unfriendliness. On top of that, it still wants a C compile...

Re: We don't run on this high street; we run this high stree

Nobody's posted about the Qlistophe wool coat yet. Probably the only piece from my order that I'll keep. Nice fabric and drape and the generous cut and the shawl lapels give it a cool slouchy dressing-gown feel. The outside pockets are neatly tucked into the side seams and there's a little hidden bu...
