Re: Coffee and tea-vee

@50iliam do whatever makes you happy. About 5 if you go by the standard tsp per cup, but you can adjust up or down for personal preference. Honestly I use something like half of that.

Re: overdressed, undereducated: let's talk about school!

Any c-t people regret their degree choice? I'm in my last year of a CS degree and I honestly hate it. I hate programming. I hate PL. I hate doing my assignments. I have 0 side projects and 0% motivation to start any. Kind of. I studied EE and honestly had a great time in school, loved all the subje...

Re: Coffee and tea-vee

chadnik , if you can't stomach the price of an electric burr grinder, a manual could be really worthwhile if you brew with a medium-fine grind (gets more inconsistent on coarse grinds). Hario Mini Mill (for single-cup) and Skerton (multiple cups) are both generally well-received, both are around $3...

Re: Lift things up and put them down.

chadnik I convince myself I'm going to get heart disease or an array of other problems if I don't stay healthy. And then think about the implications of said problems. Eventually scare myself into submission. Fear is a great motivator for me to start exercising again, but the feeling of being fit k...

Re: the constant canvas: skincare!

Gotcha. I don't THINK your cleanser is overstripping your skin, but it might help to change around your moisturizer a little because it sounds like it's just sitting on your skin and not doing its job. You don't necessarily need to use a moisturizer that contains oil, but it should feel like it's ab...

Re: the constant canvas: skincare!

@smiles are you moisturizing at the moment? What's the current state of the other parts of your skin (assuming your T zone is the major offender here) - is it showing signs of dehydration? What are you using to cleanse, and are you currently using any actives (AHA/BHA/retinol)?

Re: I don't know what I want (Buyer's guide)

@smiles looks like your run of the mill cushion insole. Doek seems really intriguing though, how long have you had yours and what are your thoughts?

Re: I don't know what I want (Buyer's guide)

Thinking of getting low tops from Shoes Like Pottery, found my size for ~$120 shipped. I haven't actually touched these, so basically they sound nice but I have no idea what I'm getting into and Rakuten reviews + google translate haven't been too useful. What u guys think. http://coolmaterial.com/wp...

Re: cartoons (sunday morning/japanese/etc)

Pretty good, the art is nice, but it takes a while to get used to the character movements. They're all moving at what seems like 1/2 the frame rate of the actual show. Yeah, I've noticed that too. If you watch the dubbed version (...sue me) the voice acting has this really unhuman quality to it bec...

Re: the constant canvas: skincare!

Aw yeah, skincare thread. Anyone have advice for how to make hyper-pigmentation scars fade faster? I hear suggestions for vitamin E thrown around a lot but what does that mean - is there a lotion or something I can buy? I'm a compulsive skin picker so it's hard not to get super depressed about skin...

Re: the constant canvas: skincare!

Have you tried chemical exfoliation? Try something like Amlactin (12% AHA, lactic acid) or Neostrata (10-15% AHA, glycolic acid. Regardless of what you use, a lotion or toner is going to be more effective than a cleanser, since the active ingredients will remain on your skin longer instead of just b...

Hey y'all. I'm Ann, but some people know me as /u/phantom_poo. 24/f/Mass

I like some things and dislike some other things.

dwindles also told me to come here and I'm really bad at resisting peer pressure.
