Re: Random Rhetorical Hypebeast Fashion Thoughts

Wait so I was right with that Hegel punt? Honestly a shot in the dark I was going to say Kant but swerved at the last moment.

Anyway I think you're right. Imagining things isn't enough or at least the level of imagining we've done so far?

Re: Random Rhetorical Hypebeast Fashion Thoughts

Also yeah the point about 'imagining a better future' isn't so much that imagining makes it so, more that without imagining it almost definitely won't happen. You can't start agitating for the global socialist revolution unless you've got the idea of the global socialist revolution. I'm sure this co...

Re: Random Rhetorical Hypebeast Fashion Thoughts

I'm surprised you couldn't see the steady flow of tasteful textured dads all walking in the same direction then returning carrying tote bags filled to the brim from the balcony you eat your breakfast grapefruit and cottage cheese on.

Re: Music is my boyfriend

Building a collection is another good BBC radio 3 music thing. They pick one piece then listen to different performances of it to work out which you might want to buy for your collection. It's really fascinating to hear and compare two cellists or whatever, even though i know nothing about music.

Re: Technology

Anyway, why's the new iPhone called the iPhone XS? I thought that meant it would be smaller, you know? eXtra Small. Instead it's even larger than the old iPhone. Is that what the XS stands for? XSively large?

How many miles and what elevation? I'm more inclined to think you're correct rather than your dad. As long as you aren't buying a total scrap heap almost anything would work for an18 minute commute

Re: Mums on Holiday

My summer look this summer was the same as last summer. Summerweight snopants and big linen tees.

If you live somewhere warm I highly recommend you purchase some 'summer weight' clothing. It'll make a huge difference to your life. Even lightweight tees vs regular thick cotton ones are a revelation.

Re: Random Rhetorical Hypebeast Fashion Thoughts

I'm of the belief that there are like probably a couple dozen clothing collections that could be claimed to have any power outside of the 'look dope' framework, which I'm deeply of the belief is basically dictated by economic factors (dope='wealthy') with about 1% left over for childhood trauma base...

Re: Overexposure of Streetwear and the Principle of Rarity

Is this streetwear capitalist realism. Become inauthentic through corporate growth strategies or stay small and benefit the reseller class.

Surely there has to be another way.

Re: Overexposure of Streetwear and the Principle of Rarity

it's stupid to call a brand "inauthentic" for growing and expanding their fanbase when the singular goal of any and all companies is consistent growth. That's just corporations innit? Surely supreme didn't HAVE to grow if jebbobbia didn't want it to? Though obviously all arguments that hi...

Re: Wristwatch materials, whats your favourite?

i'd like a watch that had a case and strap made from sapphire glass and a face made of stainless steel so it was kind of inverted. Ideally you wouldn't be able to see through the stainless steel so you couldn't tell the time.
