Re: Feelings

Ready to post some good feelings in here. I haven't been active on c-t since last summer, been lurking and appreciating the community though. My first year of college has had ups and downs, but I've never felt more stimulated and free. I'm finishing this year knowing some very interesting people and...

I love the sand/white contrast, and the purple pull tabs are pretty fun too

Re: safe sox

@areo recommended these in the buyer's guide thread. Just got mine in the mail, very happy with the elastic. I'll post an update on how they hold up, but at around $2 per pair shipped, they're feeling great.

Re: dunkies on every corner

Speaking of Gronkowski, I heard this tale of hilarity on NPR the other day - the self-publishing author of the erotic fanfic A Gronking to Remember had to change her cover art from a photo of Gronkowski and some couple from Ohio to a drawing and a different couple.

Re: feeltalk thread

RomanEmpire This is eerily close to my story. Everybody told me I was so likely to get into my top choices - Brown, Yale, Cornell, Uchicago - and it was hard not to hype myself up on that, even when I knew they knew very little about the admission process - I made the mistake of telling them I thou...

Re: Riaz city

Just ctrl-click (or cmd-click on a McIntosh) on your laptop. The only people who have excuses here are phone and tablet users, who are screwed by the forum layout anyway.

I do think bela should add descriptions though

Re: ramdom fashion sportswear crepes

Wardrobe idea: have totally exclusive winter and summer wardrobes, only purchasing things for the other wardrobe while it's the other season (trying things on, but no more). It would force more conceptual and cohesive building, not to mention encourage secondhand purchases and perhaps a more cohesiv...

Re: ramdom fashion sportswear crepes

Have been trying looser tees for that #comfy jizz, but I have very little confidence when I'm wearing them. I think it might be because of my height, but regardless of how muscular I am or how it actually looks, I feel like a waif. It's fitted tees or button-ups from here, folks. Oversized sweatshir...

Re: feeltalk thread

Originally talked about college in the school thread, but I'm feeling more feely now. College visits were cool, decided I definitely don't want to live in rural Maine for 4 years and drink my ass off, even though Colby is great otherwise. The decision is then between a full ride to the school in my ...

Re: dunkies on every corner

Will be at Northeastern with my dad on Tuesday, no time to do much but lunch. Where should we eat? At an NEU dining hall for the full experience? Tasty Burger? I heard Symphony Sushi might be okay.

Re: overdressed, undereducated: let's talk about school!

Got denied or waitlisted at all of my "reach" colleges, currently waiting on financial aid from Northeastern. If I don't get off the waitlist at UChicago, it's between a state school, Colby and Northeastern. Looks like financial aid will be good at all 3, so it might come down to the visit...

Re: I don't know what I want (Buyer's guide)

mike868y if you're a small person, even a small vintage one will be somewhat baggy - cool if you want something more relaxed. if you're larger and you want a slimmer fit, you can size down on vintage - they actually come in "long" variants sometimes. if you're small and you want a slimmer...

Re: Lab core

Tenue de Nims co-owner Rene Strolenberg: http://i.imgur.com/iamNOrw.jpg As a store owner/proprietor/semi-working-class-craftsman-type, he seems to occupy the same homage niche, the lab coat portraying the intersection between practicality and intellectualism that appeals to his Amsterdam customers.

Re: ramdom fashion sportswear crepes

The hell is this http://www.grailed.com/listings/10089-material-boy-tale-of-seven-sweat I guess it indeed was some exclusive thing for Seven (now closed), but the price drop is pretty funny - I would be very interested to see how someone who would pay retail for that would dress. Re: Hardcore grinding

bela My hypothesis: when stiff cotton is wet, it has a slight tendency to stick to itself, and the enclosed space of a washing machine, especially with the pressure of other clothes, can cause it to stay stuck in the same way for the duration of the cycle. Fabric has a greater tendency to lose dye ...

Re: Post Doc Martens or AF1s [shoe WAYWT]

Just realized that, unlike every other pair I've seen, my Stans neither say "Stan Smith" on the heel nor have Mr. Smith's visage on the tongue. Does anyone know anything about the discrepancy?
