Re: Thom Browne's School Days

Personally Thom and Black Fleece OCBDs don't fit me without having to re-tailer the entire shirt, so I wear band of outsiders. Talking about this, thomaspaine (or even timothynguyen ) do you have any Thom shirts you could grab the pattern for the collar on? (Measurements in this fashion ) Going to ...

Re: ramdom fashion thoughts

My sister is working LFW, joked before she left that she should get some Burberry tickets for me. Whilst I didn't get tickets, found out she did the make-up for Raeburn SS15, really weird to see my personal and online worlds colliding like that but super proud.

Re: ramdom fashion thoughts

Meermin have implemented a new website and most importantly a great Gustin-like system for MTO.

Considering they've axed their longwings from their lineup, I'd love to see the possibility of making up a MTO group for some shell longwings for us Europeans who don't fancy Alden prices.

Re: Those things you store money in

I'm a #fintech wanker and therefore ultimately want to get rid of my wallet altogether. Though until mobile payments reach critical mass, I'm still channeling my inner 13 year old and I use a Dynomighty Mighty Wallet. On my 3rd now. http://i.imgur.com/kof7RmYl.jpg I only use 4 cards, carry as little...

Re: best Star Wars game ever made

Y'all never played Star Wars - Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast? Sickest multiplayer, first game I ever played online and it was glorious.

That said, KOTOR still takes the cake.

Re: I don't know what I want (Buyer's guide)

After actually handling TOJ, I've been sent into a panic mode wherein now I'm going on a smash and grab for everything in my size. Very optimistically looking for a DR of some form, an A2 and maybe a fishtail. Though my fussiness wrt features is proving difficult. I refuse to have a jacket with unus...

Reverberating the fact this is a great thread. germinal Could I ask where you got those figures on 3rd party retailer margins? Really interesting industry. Re: Leather Jackets vs The Biological Clock (3rd Round KO)

bela — 2012 Styleforum is my shit I'll take that as a compliment. Picked up Fuck Yeah Menswear a while back and I haven't been able to shake it since... Such a shame. Re: Crumpanies, Inc.

Strangely I had the idea with one of my friends to do a Vintage Campus style thing a few months back, just loopwheeled sweats rather than wool. Great job on the concept so far, I'd definitely cop one if I was at a US university. If you expand to loopwheeled and international hmu and I'll buy 200 for...

Re: Ask a question, get an answer

@DeafIdiotGod They are online exclusive right now so I doubt they're in stores. There was limited stock so I imagine they were just testing the waters for the upcoming season. That said, if you're about on the 30th I'm game for a LDN trip.

Re: ramdom fashion jorts

Just had to justify a bunch of Topman-clad youths hanging outside Tesco, that my OG Flyknits were real, but just trashed as I play sport in them after they *literally* called me out on them. All whilst in my work clothes holding mangetout.. Odd experience for Northern England..

Re: There is a runway show inside everyone

Burberry went from a brand with 'zero fashion cache' in early 2000 due to the saturation of it's check (and subsequent proletarian drift), to the global luxury leader it is today through gaining utmost control by cutting down on contracting of it's items, establishing it's own retail stores and recr...

Re: I don't know what I want (Buyer's guide)

I don't know, I've worn black tie *not* just at school/uni events a few times before and I suspect 21st's may be black tie as that's the upcoming year.. It's a hard one to call as if there are quite a few *black tie* events which I suspect, I'll feel kind of silly not getting a proper dinner suit as...

Re: I don't know what I want (Buyer's guide)

I wear black tie ~5 times a year due to the uni I go to. Got through first year with my 6th form black ill fitting beater — though that's recently given up the ghost. On one hand thinking I should invest on the other, it is uni where it can get messy, should I really be concerned about having proper...

Re: Unused Surgeons Cuffs

I'm confused, are you saying that half canvas is about the same as full canvas unless you're bothered about the front panel shape being stiffened. Pretty much. The variant of half-canvas with no front panel interlining is essentially the same as full canvas (all other things equal), just you don't ...

Re: Unused Surgeons Cuffs

Went to Savile about a week back with @vatfreewellies. After ogling Gieves & Hawkes and the rest of the heritage tailors on the row, we slipped off to SuitSupply on Virgo, somewhere more in our price range — where there's a certain shop assistant who's helped me every time I've been in there whe...

Unused Surgeons Cuffs

Menswear discussion/ideas/questions thread.

Said I was going to make this a while ago, wanna see sharply pressed trews, extreme cutaways and 3-roll-2 jackets hopefully discussed in a little less regimented form than menswear-only forums.

For suit flintstone see this thread.
