Re: ramdom jorts

Went to my 10 yr high school reunion on Saturday. It was as you would expect a reunion to be like, but everyone was definitely more adult and nicer to each other. Few people got drunk and held their composure....except for this one guy who decided to slap my friend's ass as she was saying bye to som...

Re: pictures of birds

Oh, this thread is great! My dad does bird watching and I've gotten into it recently as well.

Saw a ton of Steller Jays at Yosemite this past weekend:

Re: Table Top Games

I occasionally play Pathfinder/D&D when I visit my family. Dad is always the DM; he even played with/met Gary Gygax but hardly remembers because he said he was drunk. Magic is also fun; recently got into that but I'm also really slow. A game my boyfriend and I bought a while ago called, Letters ...

Re: What are you reading today/book club

Been a long time since I've read Murakami. I binged read a lot of his books in college and had to take a long break.

Downloaded the sample and thought it was pretty good so I ordered a hard copy. Looking forward to starting again.

Re: ramdom jorts

Finally the fashionable, middle-aged Japanese woman I see on my train commute says hello to me and we chat about things. I feel so inferior fashion wise standing next to her.

Re: we're out of conversation and have nothing in common

There's no such thing as rain in CA at the moment. It's been way too hot lately, though, cool today. Plus we've been having humid weather which is...not supposed to happen.

Re: feeltalk thread

My boyfriend's friend (who I also knew) killed himself on Sunday. Slit his wrists. Good and insightful guy but also had deep turmoil within him. Maybe he can finally be at peace. His dad also wrote about it . Please, if anyone is feeling down and out seek out the help you need and don't be ashamed. ...

Re: Lift things up and put them down.

exprof : Same as what UnwashedMolasses said: check out the FAQs on /r/Fitness and /r/xxFitness. There's also the book New Rules of Lifting for Women which I've read; I haven't done the exercises in them since I was already doing Starting Strength. Currently I'm doing StrongLifts. Re: feeltalk thread

i'm almost 23 and i still don't feel like a mature adult The feeling doesn't go away. Going to be 28 in 4 weeks. I think you start to realize things more obviously once you get closer to 30 (at least I do), can make better judgements (and less stupid decisions), and it's nice having a more confiden...

Re: Hardcore grinding

Ride train in morning. Put lunch bag on lap. Get up to let someone off the train. Notice huge oil/grease stain on pants because food decided to leak. Can't go back home because work, rode the train. So I leave it and try my best to remedy it throughout the day. :\ http://i.imgur.com/7x52NRZl.jpg

Re: Films

Ys-mbHXyWX4 Saw Boyhood over the weekend. I enjoyed it very much. It's one of those movies that you watch and can relate to almost every scene - whether it's with the main character, his sister, family, or the people he encounters throughout his life. Amazing that it was shot in a 12 year time span.

Re: Travel

I went to Joshua Tree over the weekend. Really hot but pretty cool seeing all the trees and rock formations. At night it was amazing because the sky was clear of light pollution. Saw a ton of stars, shooting stars, and the Milky Way galaxy. Some snaps I took: http://i.imgur.com/jmJokV1.jpg http://i....

Re: cartoons (sunday morning/japanese/etc)

I finished the first episode of Kill la Kill. Whoa...it's pretty fast paced and crazy. Reminds me a bit of FLCL. I was watching Madoka Magica (about 6 episodes in) but I don't know...the story doesn't draw me in and I feel like I have to force myself to watch it. Might have to put this one on hold. ...

Ordering something online that you really want only to get an e-mail almost a week later saying the item was sold out. Then why the hell did it say "available" on the site? -__-
