wearing crop tops in winter- how? (also... men?)

i've "accidentally" started to amass crop tops & I'm a guy so already society is going to be critical of how I style this..

right now I'm thinking of having a skinny undershirt or underarmour underneath
(i only recently realized this look was pioneered by the Pokemon Team Rocket member "James," from the cartoon)

yeah!
every crop top i see seems to show midriff (which is always hairless btw),,
or if it is layered, it's a super-short crop top (or "bralette" according to H&M's most recent collection..) worn over something not as fitted

much to think about lol

but as for the on-going research - i only found one example of a man without a smooth torso (i.e. had hair) wearing a crop top
