My wonderful mother got me this weekend bag from Maxwell Scott for Christmas, and it's such a great fucking present. They're a company located in York, but all of the bags are produced in Tuscany. I've already taken it abroad twice and it's so nice to carry, spacious too. Would definitely recommend. Easily superior to my girlfriend's stupid LV holdall.

when i was down for my chelsea interview i finally got to say hi to ally of ally capellino which was so nice! we've been in internet-touch for a few years after i posted about a bag but it's taken until now for us to meet irl etc. managed to get out to the shop in shoreditch and it's always so much better seeing things in a physical sense rather than on the internet. i've liked her bags for a while but i think she's upped her game recently and i love the interesting materials she's now using ('silver leather' etc) and hush hush, there's a beautiful wool coat in the works for aw15.

i love pretty much everything transparent / semi opaque so this was gorgeous to see irl

veg tanned leather sides and semi opaque synthetic panels on front and back. comes in ice cream pink / blue and grey / black

when the light hits them !!

this is my new bag. Napron Army Patients Bag. I've had it for about three weeks now.

I like it a lot. It's quite versatile because it can be used either as a tote or as a kind of sling. It's spacious enough for groceries or books but not so big that things get lost in it. It has an internal nylon pocket and the bottom is in nylon for durability. The colour is a nice Khaki.

Probably going to pick up an apron (lol) from them as well.

anyone have any recs for sort of "indie" leather handbag designers who sit in the ~$300 price range?

i've been in the market for a new bag (this process always takes me like two years) and i'm getting really frustrated not finding anything i like

looking for some sort of simple black leather/suede bag. i generally drift toward slouchier bags (proenza ps1 was my dream bag growing up) but i'm open to suggestions. not a fan of outward branding, excessive hardware, or the "clean" aesthetic (e.g. kate spade). would like a medium size shoulder bag. hate crossbodies and small satchels.

don't want to splurge on a designer bag and would love to support a smaller designer, so if anyone has any friends or recs, holla at yo girl. i've trawled etsy and come up with absolutely nothing.

ugh i hate bags.

short article about Porter

http://www.port-magazine.com/fashion/po ... -turns-80/

As it’s Porter-Yoshida’s anniversary year in 2015, the collaboration tempo has been increased. “As the first stage of the celebrations, we’re releasing items in collaboration with Michael Lau, Ryota Aoki, Adidas, and Maehara Kouei Shoten,

(for those wondering Headporter and Headporter+ are diffusion lines started with Fujiwara, so when they say that Porter has never done clothing they're talking about the mainline)

Bookpack shape is kinda weird but I guess if you really wanted an 18l daypack with a structured shape that's what you'd end up with

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfre ... s-tote-bag

Artic on totes for men. I wish I could master the ability to ride a bike with a tote. I think it is the sickest look of all time. Actually the sickest look of all time is riding a bike with a tote AND holding an umbrella at the same time. Off the charts.

Ine De Haes is a new Belgian children's wear designer whose stuff I got the chance to see recently. Super cute and wonderfully made.

Stand-out piece was this coat with a backpack compartment attached to the back.

Does anyone know where I can get a backpack, about three hundred pounds, blue, with suede accents? Only thing is the zip has to last longer than a month. Any one have any ideas?

Willing to import, will be a hassle to send back but I probably won't need to if the zip lasts longer than a month.
