My grailed wardrobe is basically all of the HL outerwear on grailed right now, so this is very cool. In the market for a new zip-up hoodie type item after irreversibly trashing my gap zip.
this is the stuff designed by margaret howell, right? a lot was on sale at the carnaby st store in london early summer. it looked really good, i wanted some of the trousers but still can't work out how to wear 9" hems
it's an interesting question, i mean everyone in fashion/art rips off everyone else- that's what flintstone is, right? but it's only distasteful (to me and, i presume, others here) when a big conglomerate lifts from a small(er) independent. you can't escape from that question of power. recent examples off the top of my head: karl lagerfeld/ new balance, marina abramovic/mary carroll
even if h&m has a nice design the shirt material is usually so scratchy (maybe i'm overly sensitive?) that it still isn't worth it to me, in past experience
Now I have a reason to go to the opening of the Philly store. I'll probably just buy a white slim fit shirt because I need one and I'm on a semi cop freeze, but I'm digging all that outerwear, particularly the vest. The suiting is neat too, and I like the turtleneck.
We're getting it a week early in Philly, I may try to snap a few pics of the stuff I try on, maybe including the Helmut Lang sweats.
I'll certainly pick up the vest, but I get the impression the rest will be too tailored for my body type/style. How much slimmer everything than normal qlo?
Stopped by H&M yesterday in a desperate search to get quick fix of casual pants while I get my cash game up, and was reminded why I hate the store - BUT - I did find these suprisingly tacticool cargoes that I would totally recommend! Actually really neat stuff for a super affordable $30. Styled with Uniqlo flannel for fast fashion synergy
can confirm had a set of cos boots but after about 10 wears i kind of wished they weren't and stopped wearing because the creases looked a bit shite. were side zip stuff.

idk i guess if i needed some smart stuff i'd maybe cop but i find it difficult to get excited about cardigans, button down shirts and chester coats. i've never handled the stuff though... is the quality really good?
