xpost the bikes thread i guess, but cycling's been my main inspo for years (see: everything else i've posted to this thread haha)

been watching a bunch of old cycling vids and there are way too many highlights to screencap


just the concept of this is fucking brilliant, great sense of whimsy


absolutely ridiculous what these guys are wearing, but some good smocks, knitwear and musettes throughout. cannot imagine deciding to ride 100 miles through snow dressed like they are


apparently this inspired Lucas when he was making American Graffiti? Very cool, brilliantly shot, excellent soundtrack

in a similar vein I also watched Breaking Away recently, highly recommended as a film but also good for whimsy and idyll, which i reckon we could all do with atm
