What style are you after? RM Williams do a few good options that are around $300 and very well constructed.

Thanks for all the ideas. I don't think this is quite what I'm looking for. I'll probably stick to getting some Doc Martens. But I appreciate the feedback.

Would really appreciate some sizing advice for two different shoes.

I have relatively wide feet and wear US10 in chucks / UK9 in docs / US 10-10.5 in free flyknits.

First shoes are the raf velcro highs (finally found some black ones) and the second ones are the KVA multilace high tops.

I heard that both tend to run a little large so I would go with EU43, but does anybody have any experience with these?

Anyone ever had troubles with Rakuten stores? I bought a sweater from Kind, but there was a delay because I had to pay with an echeck through paypal. They emailed me wondering about the payment and I told them they would definitely get it by the 27th and asked if they would hold it for me until the check cleared. I never got a response so I emailed them a couple more times asking if they were going to cancel the payment or not, still nothing. The check cleared on Friday and I never got any receipts or anything so I emailed again to ask when they were going to ship my item now that they have my money, but still no answer. Are there any ways I could contact them through Rakuten or something? I really want this sweater and the listing isn't back up or anything so I know it wan't bought by anyone else.

they both fit similar to cps because of the margom sole. I'm about the same size as you and I wear 42, but I have very narrow feet.

The one I got was extremely big initially but shrunk a ton after the first wash. Now it's kinda boxy (and short, but a lot of stuff tends to be for me) but fine in the shoulders. If you don't normally have any issues with shirts being borderline too short then TTS.

Hey @prawnzee how would you lace your GATs? I think every single pair of shoes I own is laced exactly like that pair

also, where can i buy inexpensive bottoms that sort of jive with the whole rick/julius aesthetic? ideally, <$100 each (not looking for quality here). I might need them for a job this summer and i'd like to open my eyes to them sooner rather than later.

I'm pretty sure this blazer is too tight in the midsection. Should I see if my tailor can let it out some?

I'm looking for black pants that fit exactly like these in a 31. Is there a fast way to go about finding pants that fit like this or no?

^^^yes you should definitely get that, looks like it would be a fantastic airport jacket too.

Does anyone know where I can get a bunch of white para cord or something similar? I wanna replace the flimsy drawstrings on a bunch of shorts/pants.

thatbiglake wrote:Is there a name for a two-sided button? I believe I saw a post on MFA about it a while ago, advertised to those who have thick necks. Like, you put this button in the buttonhole, and then there's a metal clasp to hold the two together. Ringing any bells? I think it would be really cool to use on my shirts, since the sleeves are always too short and tight enough to restrict my movement. I'm using safety pins for now(which looks great but isn't really the ascetic I'm after) but I'd love some tarnished silver clasps on my buttons, something grungy enough to not look like a cuff link and without the scene girl association of safety pins. Now that I think about it a small leather strip could do the job as well, and if I put a button on one side...

Oh well. I'll put this post up anyway, bc I also have a pretty thick neck, and would love some extra room.

Are you thinking of collar extenders? They're supposed to be used under ties to given you an extra inch round the neck. Fucks the collar up though obviously

Summer bizcaz shoes besides boat shoes? I need something for senior trip, awards, graduation, etc, and the only shoes I have that aren't sneakers are my Thorogood boots and Cordovan Bostonian captoe oxfords.

Common Project sizing?

I'm looking at buying a size 41 and I wear a size 8 in vans. I have no idea what to compare/look up.

e:

Thanks guys, I guess I would need to size down to a 40 instead. Which is sad, but in reality not spending $350 for CPs may be a good thing for my wardrobe/life.
