Take photos in the 'golden hour' - one hour after sunrise, or one hour before sunset - as the light is a lot softer and less harsh which will make your photos a lot better. Not a lot you can do w/o a better camera though.

There's something really poetic about a bunch of individuals collectively waking up at some early, golden hour to take pictures of themselves, by themselves, for each other with no one else around.
thanks for the advice

Does anyone else find that using a canvas bag makes your clothes pill? My heavier-weight, waxed canvas tote seems especially bad. Any tips for preventing this, outside of not using a canvas bag when wearing more pill-prone fabrics?

I've never had to deal with customs with End and their shipping is only $12.

@charybdis No, it's a tote I already had, I've just been really noticing it since it's the only purse-like thing I brought with me. But I think I'm gonna return the Building Block one now to avoid the potential heartbreak </3

Anyone have experience with Sri textiles? Quality? Worth the price?

Thinking about getting this (http://www.hickorees.com/brand/sri/prod ... -safflower) fabric for the "lapel" of my noragi, thoughts? I just want something interesting about my noragi, either a cool lining or something. Just can't put my finger on it.

Paging @Bobbin.Threadbare, once I get my swatch file Friday who knows, I may be surprised with what cool stuff she finds too.

I need recommendations for shorts. Anything and everything. I loved how my Levi commuter 511 shorts fit, but now they've blown out in the ass and I don't like the new seasons material/construction, so I don't think I'll be replacing them.

Looking for somewhat of a skinnier thigh fit, between 9.5"-10" would be perfect (in a waist 32), since my commuters were right around 9. I picked up a few pairs of cheap shorts from H&M and their thigh/leg opening is 10.5" and it just swallows my leg.

Anyone know of anything that fits like this? Or should I just find a nice pair and then taper the leg opening a bit?

Canvas all white sk8 his vs. leather all white sk8 his?

I like how canvas starts to tear/fray in high stress points but some leather shoes would be cool. idk.

e:

True that, no point in going cheap leather. Thanks bruv

Check Rakuten and Yahoo! Japan Auctions. I see cheap-ish KKA for pretty cheap. The Viridi-Anne has had stuff like that too, and I see that brand online sometimes too. I'm sure you can find some Comme des Garcons cheap on Rak/Y! too.

Otherwise, maybe AssemblyNY.

Doc 1460 sizing. Everything I've read says they run a bit big. I lowball bid some in my true size on ebay and won and they're waaaay too tight. I was not excited about them to begin with but I actually really like them. I want to get another pair and I'm a bit concerned about the sizing. I'm just wondering if I got a stray tight pair or something. Like I can't find a review anywhere saying that your true size would be too tight. I know 96.5% of you own them so how did you size them? They're the made in china ones by the way.

Hi guys! Nice to be able to get online again. Quite a few questions.

1. How much flare is ok in 7" shorts? (would post mine but they're in the wash and tonight is the only opportunity I have for some c-t action in the next couple of days)
2. Are these ok? They're 49mm. Should I go wider or are these about right? (Please excuse the crazy hair and the terrible beard)
Spoiler:
Image

3. Where can I get SUPER SUPER low riding socks in the uk? I cant seem to find any :(.
4. Do any of you guys live near/in Birmingham and fancy going to a gig? My band are supporting someone out there tomorrow night. Its only a 25min slot and I would love to meet some more of you guys after @maj was such a cool dude.

Heres the track of ours that I'm most pleased with: https://soundcloud.com/zowies_stranded_men/velvet-cloud I sing.

Drop me a PM for more info if you're interested and I'll get back to you asap.

Thanks (smiling).

might be a better thread than this but lets talk about black pants. What are your favorite black pants? least favorite? best bang for your buck black pants? jeans? tapered? loose? what do you guys like? I need a new pair of black pants as my 510s are way skinnier than I want them to be right now.

I have to replace my 510's because they're fading but I think I'll get another pair. Anyone have suggestions on skinny/slim fit black cargos though?

Rep: I'm 30x32, sorry.

Another question: textured plain white t shirts? I love my white linen shirt for summer but I want something for the colder months too.
