here's the lookbook shot

it's def hard to style, mainly because of the length I think. needs kinda flowy/long shirts and loose trews, 2 things I was kinda lacking which is why I sold it. could almost function like a coat too

I don't know how much it would go for. I got it for $250 plus shipping from deadkitty.

I have to mess around with some of my current pants and see if I can get things to work. Definitely not dyeing it don't worry bb

I love the thing I just need to figure out what to wear with it.

Thanks guys.

Any suggestions for beefy gray or black trou in a slim cut? Wanting another option besides jeans in f/w.

I was thinking wool or a wool blend, but I don't want bizcaz or dressy styled pants and thats what most of the wool options I've found were.Definitely not denim. we'll say price <200 just to see what my options are.

I really like how eccentrica rocked it with his J Crew shawl, probably try things similar to this for a bit and see what works out.

Thanks for all the insight guys! Looser trews is next up on my cop list.

I'm emailing a European brand regarding VAT. I asked if they deduct VAT for people in the USA. I got the following response

The 25% VAT is required from our country so you will have to deduct it if you can.

I asked a little bit more if he knew how I could deduct VAT and I got this:

VAT: I am sorry I do not know about the American system. I know that I just have to add the VAT to orders made to private costumers.

That being said, am I stuck paying the 25% VAT if I buy from them, or is there a way I can deduct the VAT myself?

What is going on with Toj and people selling spots? Have they completely stopped taking orders now, if so then why is their Tumblr page still listing products for sale? Potentially just scored myself a paid intern so a black A2 is looking super tempting right now.

Not all brands charge VAT in the EU even to EU customers. There's a threshold so a lot don't charge it anyway. For now we couldn't deduct VAT for overseas customers because we aren't charging anyone.

Deducting VAT is an absolute pain. I know lots of brands factor that into delivery instead.

I think you can claim back VAT (over an amount if you get a tax receipt though I've only heard of people doing this in person after physically shopping in the UK)

Their website says
A 25% VAT is included in all prices. The buyer is responsible for any VAT and import duties in his or hers country.

And

A €30 flat rate for shipping and handling will be added every international order under the amount of €300 regardless of country.

So it seems VAT isn't included in the shipping. Assuming I get a receipt (would a PayPal invoice be enough?), how would I go about deducting VAT (From Denmark, to USA).

At a stand still with where to go with my footwear. Can't see myself wearing boots or anything like CP's realistically so I don't know where to look. Kind of want to avoid leather in general, mainly because a pretty high price tag gets associated with it...

Need shoe recs, typically wear pretty skinny jeans. If I can't find anything I'll just keep beating up my vans and converse I guess. I've looked through every page of the shoe thread and the waywt thread and honestly haven't found anything that I was like "holy shit I can see myself wearing that and its affordable."

e:
I am going to a local shoe store that stocks birks though and I'm trying on Bostons and Arizonas sometime this week. If those don't work out I may just resolve with my current shoe line up.

So I'm looking for a men's linen tunic-like shirt with a band or mandarin collar. Short sleeves, lighter colored, under $150. For my boyfriend.

@JewTurk, seeing some of the brands you've posted here, I'm sure you could afford $100 for a pair of DMs or $200 for a pair of sale Grensons if you saved up. $$$ shouldn't stop you from looking away from leather shoes. no need for Balla horween shell cordovan chromexcel made in USA artisanal joints.

for your look, perhaps the "suede oxford on a Vibram wedge sole" will do ya right. http://shop.cncpts.com/products/made-wi ... m-shoe-tan I remember looking at these ones. still some $$$ tho, but nothing ludicrous

It's not so much price as it is formality (?). I don't want to wear leather shoes around high school because the price is 'known' whereas with my jeans etc no one really knows the price tag and it blends in. I just don't think leather shoes would fit a typical high schoolers clothes whatsoever.

Where do you live? Leather shoes are pretty common in high school around here, especially DMs. A lot of the shoes use cheap leather but no one can really tell the difference. Depends on the shoe too I guess

Have you looked into the Clarks Originals line besides the Wallabees you were planning on getting before? I feel like some of those could fit you pretty well, and a lot of them are on sale right now. I like what I have, anyway.

Southern Arizona. Boots aren't necessary whatsoever. Canvas shoes are all you see for the most part, sandals etc.

Should be coming out with a few new models for f/w but

their Vulco Spears might work for you:
Image

Kind of wish I had gotten those instead of my Vulco Arrows but whatever
Image

Tyler Weaves are cool (a variant of the original Weaver boots) but they're women's, although I think they could be worn easily if you took the wooden tassel things off:

seriously though why aren't Weavers still available, fuck

Where can I get a pair of sandals that are fashionable? I've checked out the sandals/flippy floppies thread and of course they all look awesome, but they're mostly out of stock/late models.

I love Birkenstocks for their minimalism, and Suicoke for the spunky techwear vibe that I get from some of their models. Can anybody make a recommendation?
