How do COS shirts/tees/polos fit compared to H&M, Gap, Uniqlo, LVC? And is there often much shrinkage in the wash (or does that depend more on the material of piece)?

i've got a couple of cos tees and they seem to fit slightly smaller and slimmer than my uniqlo tees, albeit not by much. can't say i've noticed significant shrinkage in the wash (at 30c).

Looking for a white or off white sweatshirt. I dig the White Indigo sweat from OL and APC's offering but something cheaper to consider would be nice too. Uniqlo don't do theirs in white and that's annoying.

I'm curious if anyone knows of any brands that were producing really cool things that would still be relevant but for whatever reason have faded from the forefront of peoples' minds (or were never big to begin with) or stopped making clothes.

Think about 5 or 10 or 15+ years ago--what were the brands that were in the boutiques and cool then, that people don't really think about these days? Or maybe they're still making stuff but on a much smaller scale.

still thinking about ordering a pair of raf velcros, does anyone know how to size? I'm typically a size 10.5 in nike/vans, would that correlate to a size 43? Anyone own a pair, thoughts?

Also, is tres bien likely to go deeper sale? It's an extra 20 percent off sale right now.

Got a pair of black ones. People generally say to size down one. I'm a size 43 EU, wearing 9.5 US in Vans, and I sized down to 42 for the Rafs. They fit pretty well but after wearing for a long period of time I find they kinda rub on my little toe a bit. 42.5 would probably have been best if Mr Porter had had them.

I've got the opportunity to get an Made In England Work Jacket from Albam on the cheap online and was wondering about help for sizing. I don't trust my own judgement anymore 'cause I've been worrying about it so much.

I'm 6'1 and weigh 72kgs (158lbs) and have a 38" chest.

Based off their size chart I think I'm a 2, since 1 sounds like it would be too small and 3 sounds like it would be a little big.

What do you guys think? Thanks!

do you guys mind if i ask the same question multiple times? im hoping someone who didnt see it before will see it now, or someone will have new information/answers

im looking for a black hooded coat (not parka) that is similar to a topcoat* edit: unstructured* or mac. hopefully <$500. i know KKA made some that were ok (hood was quite large unfortunately) but the ones ive found used havent been my size (42). also jil sander has one thats great but ive only seen it in white. im ok with buying from a brand that isnt well known or anything, i know soundclip had a fit with pretty much exactly what im looking for but i think the brand wasnt clear because it was thrifted? i should thrift more. thanks

are yuketen navy suede ripple sole oxfords worth the hunt/sucking it up and buying for over $400, or is it reasonable to just find a decent pair of resoleable similar oxfords and take them to a cobbler?

I had my SI jacket stored in a (unbeknownst to me) damp room... now the color has faded in areas to an orange sheen. I'm gutted. Anyone know if there's a fix or remedy?

Anyone know of any black roughout/suede boots with a white wedge sole other than Red Wings? I'm thinking about just getting a custom pair from white's but I want to know if there's any alternatives. The white's would be like this but black:

Also thinking about maybe getting some hiking boots (might buy harmsalmons Danners) but would they look too chunky on me? I'm gonna try getting some pants that are looser than the ones I have now

Thecorner/yoox are basically shop congregators, right? So if something goes on sale on thecorner I can also find it in a shop somewhere if I look hard enough?

Edit: unrelated question - anyone know the solution to PayPal/eBay error 601 - I log into my PayPal account when eBay prompts me and then it tells me that I can't pay by PayPal and need to select different payment method. Tried googling but nothing worked so far.

does anyone know how to find more info about this EG jacket? the seller has it listed as "expedition field jacket" but I can't find anything with that name (or in any lookbook shots on the EG site) that looks quite like it. the seller doesn't know what season it is from either, but said "it's not an ancient piece, given the lack of a 'statue of liberty' tag, but it's not from the newer black label seasons."

no. yoox buys past season stuff and keeps it in their warehouse (there's an interesting article about how they function in the long articles thread). the corner is the same company as yoox but current season stuff. you might be thinking of farfetch, but that's for boutiques that don't have their own sites.

Do we have a thread about articles related to fashion? Just checking because if not I think it'd be a cool idea to start one.
