Depends on the outfit and the pants to be honest.
If you don't mind the whole "urban mountaineering" look, and I assume you don't because you're wearing WM, a slim hiking boot like these Danner JP Lights are a good idea and avoid the stumpiness of different Danner or Diemme offerings. Can wear them with cropped tweed pants, cotton moleskin cargoes, etc

Image

AIso think a pair of all-grey New Balance, perhaps the 996 but even an odder model like the 993s - works well with the blues, browns and greys Yosuke uses a lot, comfortable as hell

Image

If you're a bit more adventurous you could go with any of White Mountaineering's own footwear offerings, or odd JP collabs like these Mizuno x Mountain Research mocs

dude these aren't slim at all. even in japan danners are EE width and it shows. really slim stuff with danner styling would look ass anyway

to answer the question I wear roccia vets, tramlines, superstars, ACG dunks, kzk adidas when I wear WM.

the saucony collabs are nice but there's zero value in them (hangtimes went cheap(ish) and were great though)

Wait really? I saw an editorial with them, I think in SENSE, and they looked far slimmer than any of Danner's other offerings that I've handled. Maybe it's that they're dwarfed by the huge cuffs, but a quick google search leads me to believe they don't look that clunky on-foot (these are the all-leather blackhawks though, I posted the lights with the fabric panelling, but they look pretty similar)

I also own a pair of Roccia Vets, and they're stumpy as hell, but I only use them for hiking anyway

Let's say I've bought a jacket for 200 GBP. from Yahoo Japan through a proxy. How much should I lower the price, and should I make them mark it as a gift to not get fucked in the ass by customs? I want it to get it delivered to UK.

I've gone through most brands listed in the slings/bags/etc thread, but looking for any other suggestions on slings/similar that are tacticool but won't make me look like a pleb tourist walking through all the cool fashion stores in LA and SF. (two separate trips, both coming up in ~2 months). Budget is pretty flexible, just gotta be dope.

How does the sizing on Veilance blazers go?

Check out SOT BLK, it's run by some ex-SWAT dude or some shit.

http://www.sotblack.com/

Union LA used to stock them, so when you swag through maybe Jebbia himself will be there and nod in approval.

How do I know when to tuck vs not tuck, especially for longer shirts (i.e. crotch cover) and with blazers? I know it tends to look better but sometimes it's aesthetic vs comfylife. Generally untuck for less formal/sloppier/cozy look? Still do that for more "trad" shirts i.e. Brooks Bros? Or just play it safe and always keep it tucked?

been looking for a gray pullover hoodie for awhile, debating on reigning champ. I like the idea of paying more to support first world country workers but not sure if the premium price is worth it for the construction as well? if that makes sense. thoughts?

Image

@tomsfood i can get it for around 70 right now, not sure if that's a good price. i'm pretty short so i'd be doing XS and hopefully it'll be small enough haha

edit: dammit guys i just might have to grab it. grailed user might be selling it to someone else though, we'll see if i can buy it

Weird.

I wear a US 8, got a UK6/US7 in docs and they were too small, ended up going with the UK7/US8.

Also looking for a gray pullover to replace my 5 year old Hanes one. Best hoodie brands? I've been considering Carhartt, Uniqlo, Muji, and Nike. Budget is <$50.

i remember reading this post like 6 months ago or w/e and storing it away in my memory banks that i should try bumble & bumble, WELL, i never did, but two days ago i saw on my friend gina's instagram what LOOKED to be a bottle of bumble & bumble sea spray on her dresser in the background, so long story short, it turned out to be from lush, and according to her, both better and cheaper !! so i hopped over there yesterday and got some for myself, i love it so far and it is 10 dollars cheaper

also lush in general is really cool and i'd never been there before, highly recommended if you have one in the area

Lush :/

that place gives me a headache. and I dislike their faux conspiratorial 'best friend' ad copy on their products.

hmm, i guess different locations give off different vibes

the one i went to was relaxed and had really friendly employees who had tried every product in the store and could give detailed and informative reviews

and the packaging on my sea spray doesn't have any real advertising on it except for how they're against animal testing, maybe i'm not understanding what you mean though

how to use If you really dont know how, then we suggest you find someone you really like and invite them into the shower to demonstrate.

good to know this one has the sexiest perfume we could make, packed with aphrodisiac oils to set you on the rampage

on my flatmate's lush body wash.

It's not terrible and I get the point but it still annoys me.
