I think 13800+ that 2000 commission, I'd ask them for clarification though

It's your problem, they're not going to send it for free.

pretty excellent. id say worth it, especially if it's got their creeper sole

Thanks! I'm really in love with two of their derbies at the moment. I guessed their quality would be pretty good but the price tags got me thinking twice about getting them.
I will probably save up my money and get one of these twos.

Anybody have any experience with dyeing a ramie/polyester blend? I doubt I could use a natural dye, so I'd probably need to get a synthetic dye right?

I believe it's because the original color of the fabric isn't white. So it has to be dyed( or bleached) white

Some one more knowledgable feel free to correct me !!

What in the hell is the name of those top-of-the-head-only beanies that action hero looking bald guys always wear? I've found a few results under "shipyard beanie" but I feel like there has to be a more widespread/standard name.

Should I get a cheap no-name camp cap on eBay ($10 shipped) or ball out and get the black Supreme camp below on Grailed ($55 shipped if seller accepts offer, asking for $54+10 shipping) as an early birthday present? Never really wore a camp cap so I'm not sure. I can always resell the Supreme one; they hold their value. Help me c-t!

Can you go there in person? Darklands is great if you can go there and try stuff on in person, because the return policy won't really be relevant at that point.

The pro of Darklands is that they have lots of really unique things, often for pretty good prices.

The con of Darklands is that they don't like providing measurements too much and they'll ban you if you want to return something, except for store credit.

The problem with this, is that Darklands will often provide an answer, i.e. "I'm a size x in y brand that you have. What do I want in z?" They'll say your size, but they've been wrong before. Even if it's their fault, they won't let you return.

Apparently they like shoddy shipping too. If you really want them, I'd double, triple, and quadruple check your sizing elsewhere and if there's ANY discrepancy, then do not buy from them. Or buy the exact model elsewhere, try it, return it, and buy from Darklands, but that's a bit shoddy to do, IMO.

Any reccs for boxy tees in short length, almost cropped? Need L/XL for shoulders/chest but length is always longer than desired.

@Yoder Unfortunately Velva Sheen is what I'm wearing right now and it's much too long. I'm talking essentially cropped - to be worn over the top of high-rise trousers and hit at or near the waistband.

Finally getting away from slim pants, but I don't know where to start. Any recs for straight fit/slight taper, mid-tier ($100-200) chinos with an 8" leg opening? I fit well in Dockers standard tapered that's 8" leg opening but they are low rise (and they're offered in 3 wearable colors).

What to wear to compliment my girlfriends lace dress, lace in general? Honestly have no idea.

On a similar note. Prom coming up, planning on wearing a charcoal suit, white shirt and light gray tie w black shoes, I'm assuming I'm pretty kosher with that.

Wear an oversized rental tux with a gaudy matching tie.

It's a right of passage.

i have a vis bag, i wouldn't buy it again.

briefing stuff is really nice but i don't think anything fits your aesthetic. north face bags are great, but the logo might be a turn off.

suede pulls are a pain in the ass (they're not attached that well to the zippers), one of the inner pockets has started to rip, the side pockets can't really hold anything, there's no padding in the shoulder straps so it's not super comfortable if you're carrying heavy stuff for a long time. their customer service is kind of ass from what i've read. if you get a lamina bag, then everything gets worse.

aesthetically the bag is great, and i've been using it for a few years, but it's not any better than my old north face bag (other than it uses a lot more suede) and it cost like 6x as much.

Practicality doesn't mesh with every aesthetic heck.

What about a VTG army or hiking satchel of some kind in green?

@ramseames i only have a lexdray shoulder bag, but it uses neoprene for some of the pouches/pockets, which i don't love. it's nice overall, but i haven't seen the backpacks so i can't really compare.
