we're a certain kind of subculture

the way we measure that a store is "falling off" doesn't need to be measured. it just means they stock things that individuals or groups don't care for anymore. doesn't mean another group can't/doesn't latch on and say this is the greatest store since jesus's flesh store it just appeals less to the people who say it's falling off

Picked up a grey Reigning Champ crew neck the other day and it's dope. The piece just feels substantial.

Are there any stores that stock hardcore shit that don't eventually go bankrupt, give up and start stocking HUGO BOSS ORANGE LABEL?

I guess Dober Street Market, but they stock CDG Play which is probably worse.

Inventory is as consistent to its original vision as a store could ever hope to be.

127 on Brick Lane's been going for nearly a decade is still stocking pretty "hardcore" stuff. The woman who runs it is really nice as well.

waiting for when i'm 40 and internet fashion has been gone for one of the people who grew up with it to finally become a designer and make a representation of their teen angst through clothing, that representation being interpenetration of grails from 2006-2017 and having she brings the rain lyrics plastered on asymmetrical jackets with box logos. then having a bunch of 40 year old men throwing all the money they made from engineering or sales assisting at them and re-logging into their old accounts ushering in a revival era.

Coffee in thermos spilled in my backpack. Huge black stain on the back of my blue Uniqlo OCBD. Praying to the god of hot water and soap right now.

looking into NEU's fashion & retail society and found the worst article ever written, on louboutins
http://northeasternfashion.com/2014/04/ ... the-world/

e: favorite quote
First, the despicable red sole… Red is the color on the color wheel with the highest visibility, making Louboutin shoes cheap attention seekers. Red is also used to evoke eroticism; these “red-bottoms” don’t do any favors for their wearers. Red also indicates danger (i.e. um, men, danger, danger, gonorrhea here). The shoes even prove themselves as a dangerously poor fashion choice. Furthermore, red symbolizes wrath, longing and malice, none of which are pretty on a proper lady.

that being said I know nothing about Christian Louboutin and would like a history lesson from someone versed in the label

rices are about the same except joggers could cost more but i don't remember, most winter stuff costs more and you get less of the lower priced layering pieces. high end prices are fairly cheap really, especially on the remade outwear.

I started looking at vintage stores online and I think I'm done buying any mid-layers or outerwear new. I'm going to start looking like old pictures of my uncles.

It does seem like everything that would look really normal worn today - 60/40 4-pocket mountain parkas, Levi's truckers, fair isles, big cardigans - comes from the 1980's? Maybe I haven't looked enough.

EDIT: I also looked around Styleforum for a while... at what thrift store do you buy 11 RRL shirts..? And Ryan Gosling's stylist is a member? Spooky place.

For some reason I only just saw this. The answer is soon. The more exciting answer is that we have wild basil dyed fabric in the immediate future for our shirts.
