the craig green wave is still cresting, this is Kendrick performing at the Grammys (Grammy's? Grammies?) in 2012 Raf and 2015 Craig Green. which is to say the greatest artist of our time wears only the greatest designers of our time

not really trend forecasting i'm just always impressed that @sam was so early to make that thread
i wrote an essay about craig green to get into this college in 2015

@oucho is trend forecasting about mentioning something before it becomes mass-popular (like jeans and nike frees) or is it about mentioning something obscure and hoping to see it twice (at which point it may as well be mass-popular)

What's the good no sock foot apparatus for this S/S ? I have malibu slides but they're pretty useless for urban life / biking. Wanting something with more of a sleezeball George Oscar Bluth vibe rather than Naruto but I guess I might have to compromise.

Are KEEN UNEEQ still good?

Normcore, but all yr clothes are weird promotional shit you get at tech conferences.

Reminds of a guy I worked with years ago who was obsessed with salsa dancing. He'd go multiple times a week, always dressed in a different corporate uniform. Like he'd turn up in one of the polo shirts you wear if you work at Sainsbury's one evening, then be back at the same joint 3 days later in a Staples branded shirt. Powerful. Enigmatic. He must have had dozens of them.

i predict the nostalgia and fawning over of early 2000s fashion (see: balenciaga) will end soon and we will finally move towards the platonic ideal of clothes: futuristic jumpsuits

been looking at alyx stuff and the thing that really jumped out at me were the harnesses and harness-type pieces (bags, etc). i'm sure other brands have done them before (send me examples if you can think of any) but i'm surprised that harnesses haven't been done more extensively given their relationship to BDSM culture and military gear. feel like some brands will catch on and make their own harnesses or related items – all the brands with sexual dimensions to their work will do fetish-y versions in black leather and chrome and techy brands will do theirs in nylon webbing

Fleet Ilya has been doing stuff that hits a bit further on the BDSM side of the spectrum for a while - clutch bags with leather frames, corsets (and collars), this - but also blindfolds and cuffs, saddles, and what are pretty clearly fetish masks. Plus, they brand themselves a bit differently.

Images behind the links are surprisingly SFW, but it's still a BDSM company.

Angelo Baque and a few stylists/creative directors have been posing old HBA on Instagram lately, so maybe they're consulting w/ that team. Shayne's collections w/ Helmut Lang/Diesel/Colmar seemed to be pretty well received, and it would be nice to see HBA start back up as an answer to Off-White/Heron Preston/Palm Angels.
