Rudy, I feel like a collared/plaid shirt doesn't really jive with the sweatpants and the whole athletic thing you got going on, jacket looks a little big too although that might just be the photo

soundclip what do i have to do to convince you to go much wider with pants????

also this is a pretty good representation of me between the temperatures of 40-50

Spoiler:
i'm tempted to wear this to a show but i'm sure it would just be thoroughly miserable and hot and wet and gross and the pants would tear so i only wear it to get a beer or six.

Criticism is needed. How can I make this more interesting? I've been doing the button-up+t for too long and need to mix it up. I'm ready to grow.

That's kind of vague, what are you trying to change to? Outerwear would liven this up, I would like something olive like an m65 but I assume you spend time indoors too.

Oops sorry. Heritage is what I'd like to achieve and I have a fishtail, but its more wintergreen than olive.

Screwing around with winter colors and textures. Super paranoid that the indigo on my raws will rub off on stuff but I want to break them in since weekends are the only time I can wear jeans. That means all weekends are dark colored weekends, which works ok for winter I guess.

^ Your stance is kind of distracting, and I can't say I'm a fan of wearing a tie with a flannel shirt. Or an untucked shirt.

t-pain have you made any traction with your socks? I'm interested in buying a pair to try out, at the very least. Cameron had very positive things to say about them.

Those are the second prototype. These are much better but I'm a perfectionist and will probably have to do a third iteration. Plus lead time on an actual production run, it'll be a few months.

drosselmeyer77 tie + untucked flannel shirt is very junior high. If you lost the tie it'd be an ok fit although personally I'm not really into dress shoes (are those cordovan? especially not cordovan) with jeans. I've ranted about this before but to me jeans are workwear, they're meant to get beat up and worn to shit. Even if you don't want to beat up your jeans, that's the feeling they provoke, and wingtips are not the shoes you would choose to do those things in.

a tie with an untucked flannel (or untucked anything) is not a good look. when wearing a tie it's generally a good idea to button the shirt all the way up too. I think the cuff is distracting as well. removing the tie and uncuffing would make the outfit more congruent to my eyes!

Didn't think that the untucked shirt and tie combo would get as much attention as it did. I guess it's safe to call this particular experiment a failure for now, haha.

I'll defend the footwear though, they're cordovan boots with commando soles so IMO not formal shoes at all (though that'd be hard to tell from the pics). Might look a bit more formal than they should because they're new, but these are not boots I'm planning on wearing in a formal kind of way.

Thanks for the comments everyone, good to hear your feedback.
