have you guys heard about this?

ThinkGeek wrote:What do you do when you want a tattoo but don't want the commitment of permanent ink? The moodInq system is a breakthrough in tattoo technology, using a skin-safe proprietary E ink encapsulated pigment system that lasts a lifetime but can be configured to display any design (or none!) to suit your mood. So how does it work? We have partnered with leading physicians and technicians in the cosmetic surgery industry to implant the E ink grid, called a canvas. The canvas can go anywhere on your body and be configured to the size and shape of the body part you'd like to ink. After a short healing period (usually 2-3 days), you can begin using the moodInq software included with your kit to change your canvas to display the tattoo you desire!

(Important Note: What you are buying here is the moodInq Wand, software, and a 2-year membership to moodInq's tattoo art database. Your kit will come with a list of participating cosmetic surgery clinics. Tattoo canvas implantation prices vary by provider and canvas surface area desired.)

There's pretty much no info elsewhere on the internet, and I get the feeling it wouldn't work as well as it says it will. It's interesting to consider though. Thoughts?

For his role in Cape Fear (not to be confused with the similarly-titled Cape Feare), Robert DeNiro was tattooed with vegetable ink, which eventually fades and disappears.

Kind of off-topic to the product, which seems gimmicky and honestly like something you'd see on a TV infomercial.

I also have an interesting article on 'salvagepunk' in Tank magazine that I can't find on the internet which I might scan, if anyone is interested.

Pierre Renaux 2013 - 'Liquidation Totale'

Image

Image

Ensemble with close-fitting cardigan in elastic cotton, and plastic armour with inset pieces in ajour tricot (manmade fibre). Leggings in elastic cotton. 3D printed plastic stilettos in the shape of a revolver.

This collection was both a reflection on the position of the graduating student (fear of 'selling out' to large fashion hosues; the energy of the 'tabula rasa') as well as on the position of a contemporary, powerful businesswoman whose world is crumbling around her and whose armour keeping the outside world at bay is gradually destroyed. Last woman standing...

Hate how much the styling resembles acronym and their product in general just looks like 50% Disaeran 50% acr. Also they say its waterproof but the fabric is just poly and there's no mentioning of DWR or a membrane which makes me think its just water resistant. Feels very uninspired.
