hi folks

care tags is back and brand new! there's a new look (with mobile support!) and brand new blank pages to be written

long story short the old site software was outdated & our host updated our PHP version to an incompatible version that wouldn't work (but can be read). i didn't feel comfortable trying to update it in place, since I couldn't get a backup made correctly (their web UI sux). so the old care-tags lives on at old.care-tags.org and will always stay linked at the top (under "archive") but will be read only.

please bear with me / us as i'm sure i've missed some stuff for setup. reps should work, but the tag system is outdated & incompatible :'(

ok on the old forum wasn't there like a place where you could see all the rep comments u got? Is the only way to do this now to go back to the post and view em? Could we add the comments into the notifications maybe?

ya i've been meaning to look into how feasible that is, the notification system wasnt around in 3.0. maybe this weekend when im snowed in

spent my day down in the motherfucking php trenches but notifications should now include the text of the comment!

apparently pos / neg rep icons weren't showing. should be fixed now.

not showing for me - i can see maj and frannyglass's rep comments on your post but cant see the pos symbol next to frannyglass's comment or the neg symbol next to maj's

if you're on mobile / maybe desktop you might have to clear your cache in order to get the updated CSS. frannyglass had the same issue

per user request, there is now an alternate visual style available: 1978



to swap: user control panel -> board preferences -> my board style

will not be dedicating a lot of time to support this if you have issues, though

for posterity, the default style is ProLight if you wanna revert back
