Sometimes I worry that I post here too much. But then I stop worrying. Here's some phoneography from today. I edited it on the phone, too.

Haven't shot medium format in a while, so it was nice to get back to it.

I'll post some actual photos when I get the film developed.

canon g series isnt ~super slim and sexy~ but it's small enough and performs well enough for my needs (shooting RAW files, movie mode, etc)

people who use film, how do you get it developed? All the options online seem terribly expensive

Yesterday myself and a couple friends hiked up towards the LA-88 Nike Missile Site in the Chatsworth mountains. In operation from 1957-1974, it was one of a few dozen missile bases located around Los Angeles in case of a Soviet attack. At one point there were different entrances to the underground facility that you could get to from the rooftop as seen in the first picture, but over the years people who have visited have closed the wells.

The whole facility is abandoned now, though it seems that officials visit the area… At one point there were more broken down buses and other equipment, but they seem to be gone now. Some believe that this is sometimes used for SWAT training as it is private owned land and there are a lot of bullet shells on the ground.

Plus from the top of the mountain you can see all of the San Fernando Valley and it’s nothing but beautiful. If you live in the area I highly recommend visiting.

I was pretty stoked on this picture I got the other day.

On a related note: What format should I save pictures in after post? If I save as PNG they are like, 43 MB picture, which fills up space pretty fast.

@teck - it was natural light. probably the only time I got an acceptable at night shot.

since this is photog thread i don't want to not contribute on just a comment so here's a picture i wanted to really turn out but wasn't quite what I wanted. I don't like the color specs on his face and wasn't sure how to/if i should edit in post. this is with no editing. not sure how to get rid of iso noise either.

I love when I get the flintstone to just go on a drive and take photos. I always find cool shit. Found a reservoir nearby with a cool abandoned building, an old, possibly abandoned church, and some other cool sights. I will have some photos soon, but sometimes editing is best saved for late nights that I can't sleep.

Lets talk archiving/storage! How do you store your photographs/negatives?

I've just been keeping my negatives in a box in a closet, my prints are in a photo-album. My digital files are backed up on an external but that's it.
