[this response doesn't really fit the form of the thread but:]

"The Four Freedoms were goals articulated by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt on January 6, 1941. In an address known as the Four Freedoms speech (technically the 1941 State of the Union address), he proposed four fundamental freedoms that people "everywhere in the world" ought to enjoy:
- Freedom of speech
- Freedom of worship
- Freedom from want
- Freedom from fear"
via wikipedia

I was very surprised to find "Freedom from want" here, but I suppose Roosevelt was our leftest big presidential boy

surrounding yourself with positivity and goodness when/where possible

thought of this thread while drafting a personal essay for college apps. relevant excerpt:
“After realizing I was spending so much time being unhappy for no good reason, I decided I would think positively and embrace little moments of joy everywhere I found it. For example, I like the color yellow because it’s a fun and happy color, and all the art I’ve been creating lately is in yellow because I just want to make and surround myself with optimistic, happy things.”

Not forcing yourself to act happy when you're not

Dressing well just to sit at a dive bar

Ordering lots of food in advance when you're going through a rough patch and know you won't cook

Homemade hummus (when you start cooking again)

Forcing yourself not to buy a scale
