my driving song *turns it up louder*

this always makes me very emotional :((( so pretty, basho is (was) a real gem and visions of the country is a beautiful album. i remember the first time hearing this and i was so captivated by the guitar and strings and then suddenly his voice!!! *sheds a tear*

can't believe this album is 20 years old this year... beautiful ethereal noise! i've been listening to this a lot on headphones at night lately...

a fan made album which is basically a compilation of acoustic monkeys songs. i haven't found myself in the mood for anything besides being lullabied by alex turner's voice as of late to be honest. i don't mind his post suck it and see style of singing but i miss his old breathy sheffield voice.

Seriously love the new Spoon album. Weird night. Listened to Spoon's new album, some TV On The Radio, ended up just listening to The Microphones and Tokyo Police Club feeling really sad about girls for whatever reason. Music evokes emotion sometimes and I can't even begin to explain.

Anyways, this is a good one.

I'm sad that there isn't that many covers of prince at all on the internet, but then again, not many can do it as great as Prince.

I have a playlist on youtube with more than 60 covers of different songs. This cover by James Vincent McMorrow & bandmates are pretty much my favorite. The nord stage keyboards amazing synth sound fills my heart everytime. The great drum machine kicks and snare doesn't sound like cheap shit. The smooth and soothing sawbuzz synth in the background makes an excellent bass. And last but not least, James' voice totally changes the feeling and expression of the normally bit dull and effortless vocals from Lana.

Enjoy.
