one of my fave releases from this year. compilation of works from the italian composer / musician roberto musci
pauline oliveros died on november 24th. new yorker article here. she played the accordion
woo are a weird one and i don't know much. i remember a phil elverum (mount eerie etc) interview where he talked about them. i believe this was only released on tape in 1990. very easy listening... soft guitar, reverb and electronic percussion etc... lots of nice moments
my fave this heat song i think it's really ugly and angry (with some great transitions)
one of the most interesting and best things i've heard this year... lots of slow drones and weird dub / jazz rhythms scurrying around the place. really good tiny mix tapes reivew here
woooah don't know much about klein but i love a lot of this... video is crazy too. another track here sounds really good. messy but works
reading and hearing more about beatrice dillon lately, like most of it. this track is from a release with karen gwyer. 110 BPM groove
another top thing of 2016 imo. anna meredith is a bbc proms composing / royal college of music fellow that has switched to making weird pop music. i think you can hear it in the music. also you need to see the video...
