What furniture do you like? What furniture do you hate? Is finding furniture worth the time money and effort? Even if no one ever comes over?
We just bought these lounge chairs for our new apartment. The seller is holding them until we move in May but I can't wait to sit in them.

Where I currently live has a big mid century modern leaning for furniture. I have no idea how relevant that is to more coastal/contemporary sensibilities.
I think I enjoy most being in homes where none of the furniture matches and it was all obtained at a thrift store.

what's the temperature on these? they're pretty reasonably priced (100-130ish USD) and seem like a nice "statement piece" for a room.

couple of cool seating options from the 60s. The thing in the back looks like a prop from some shitty film adaption of God of War

the "norse projects of furniture" aesthetic looks so, so bad. it's the furniture equivalent of this
it's like living in an urban outfitters, except if you lived in an urban outfitters you would at least have high ceilings

I don't want high ceilings. I don't want to pay to heat and air condition air I can't touch

furniture is a "fake concept" as we used to say.
Secondhand/vintage is really the only option.
