roommate is dogsitting (nice little thing)

dog was friendly enough and hasn't had any issues that i've heard of

i let it run in my room since there's nothing he can really destroy

he pisses on my bed in the first 10 minutes of the door being open

edit: i hate life.

If you're keeping an eye out for feathered, winged, two-legged, warm-blooded, egg-laying vertebrates and keeping track of the ones you see while exercising poor control over their latin names you're...

i feel like hating concerts isn't socially acceptable, but i really don't enjoy loud places, crowds, mosh pits, screaming, openers, standing for long periods of time, or waiting for hours for doors to open.

someone validate my disliking of concerts

See a show with 0-1 openers, show up at the show time (not doors), don't stand near the pit, bring earplugs.

That being said, you're not obligated to enjoy concerts - but showing up to a show with 5 openers at the time of doors with no ear protection sucks infinitely more than the concert experience described above.

some ducks on the freeway almost made us crash lmao

Ques- get there 30-40 minutes after doors open. I never get to a concert on time unless I really want to see the opener. My first concert I went to I waited for like 2 hours and I was like nah, fuck getting here early.

Moved on from Microns cause the nibs kept fritzing out too soon, Le Pen by Marvy might end up with the same issues but it's fun to use.

try it! (in a notebook with thick paper) the blue color is so great/bright.

I thought it was:

Spoiler:
July 16th because:

Albert: I don't know when Cheryl's birthday is, but I know that Bernard does not know too.

This means that May and June are ruled out. Albert knows the month, and he knows that since Bernard knows the day, it can't be a month that doesn't share a day with any other month (May, June) therefore those two are gone.

Bernard: At first I don't know when Cheryl's birthday is, but I know now.

After parsing what Albert knows above, he knows it can only be July and August. Also it rules out July 14 and August 14, since if he had 14, it would be a duplicate. So that only leaves July 16, August 15, and August 17.

Albert: Then I also know when Cheryl's birthday is.

At this point, Albert knows that it can be only one of the 3 above. If he had July, then he knows its July 16th, if it was August, then he'd still be unsure if it was 15 or 17.

Curious to hear your explanation.

@ballast

Aha, in mine I stopped at Bernard working out what it was and didn't make sure Albert could work it out as well with his knowledge

Spoiler:
I had the idea that from Albert and Bernard's respective points of view, this is how it went down.

A knows it's August, leaving him with 3 days to choose from. He knows that B can't know the date because none of the numbers are unique to a date.

B knows it's a 17, leaving him with June and August to choose from. After hearing that A knows he doesn't know the day, he knows that A knows that he does not have a unique number (18, 19), which rules out June because B thinks "If A knew it was June and that I didn't have 18 he would know it's June 17".

This leaves B with August 17.

Beyond this is where it breaks down I think because Albert still has nothing to go on.

On second thoughts, I think it may depend on how the first statement is interpreted.

It could either mean Albert knows that Bernard does not know because someone or Bernard told him, or Albert knows categorically from his given month that Bernard cannot know. This is where some ambiguity forms, although I suspect the question was meant to be interpreted in the second sense.

see below for my explanation in the first case:

Spoiler:
I initially thought it meant that Bernard told Albert he didn't know at the start, meaning that Albert knew Bernard was not given 18 or 19.

Bernard then knows it can't be June because with the elimination of 19 June that just leaves one option under the month that Albert would notice if he had been told June. This leaves August 17 as the only day with a unique number for Bernard to choose, as he does not know the month.

Albert knows as much about Bernard as we do so I decided that he could deduce Bernard's choice the same way I did.
