Instagram embed is now a thing! Usage: use the full instagram embed up to the string of gibberish after /p, INCLUDE THE SLASH AFTER THE IDENTIFIER.

I've updated the Instagram embed code to be closer to what the default URL for Instagram stuff is. No more clearing away "www" and the trailing slash.

Note: this has broken any previous Instagram links. If you see any, report them so a mod can fix those right up (smiling)

Bandcamp embedding for albums is now available. To use:

1. Bandcamp
2. Share / Embed
3. Embed this Album
4. Click the big one
5. Toggle from HTML to Wordpress
6. Paste that in, and add a [/bandcamp]

imgur has changed, can anyone give an idiot's guide to working the new version?

@ASTROCHIMP takes me to the beta side, images uploaded there wont embed here. seems to be aimed solely at social media. RIP hydrating message board forums :-(

Much as I like to make fun of pirx for not being able to work computers, IMGUR does seem to be pretty khallas. Certainly when it comes to mobile devices (I haven't had an image successfully upload from android in about 4 weeks)

Does anyone know of any alternatives? Seamless android share functionality strong plus.

@prixthepilot upload your photo, mouse over it, mouse over the V icon that appears in the top right corner. Click on "Get share links" Copy and paste the one under "BBCode (Forums)"


Shit changes tbh, suppose its because reddit now hosts their own images Imgur is trying to become more of a social platform themselves (discourage linking and embedding out)

Things get wonky for albums, but if for each picture in the album you: right click, select "copy image location" and place that URL between

You can now embed imgur albums! To use, just put the part of the url after imgur.com/a/
