don't worry, the rain is good here. We're in a drought, and anything we can get helps.

unsure if rain in the morning/nice evening is better than nice morning/rain in the evening - for weekends, having the whole day and then settling in with the rain has a nice natural progression to it, but weekdays it's much better to have the rain stop like right before work gets out. of course then the parks are all wet from the rain, but there'll probably be a great sunset - nothing but tradeoffs

In England for some reason it always clouds over and rains from about 12pm. Normally it's sunny until about 10am lulling you into a false sense of security.

Just got absolutely brutalized by allergies for 12 hours. Outside is the enemy right now.

It’s 8 degrees c (46 f), windy and raining all day here. I’m enjoying the rain noises and that gurgling sound from the gutter. The cat still wants out for some reason.

How’s everyone’s fall? The leaves are mostly off the trees here now in Ottawa.

Today Minneapolis felt like San Fransisco.
Woke up to 48 degree weather (our normal December temps are in the 10-20s). A heavy, heavy fog enveloped us for most of the day.

Then a thunderstorm started.
We got high wind warnings, up to 60 mph apparently. Tornado warnings too.

All that rain on top of the melted snow is going to re-freeze around 1 am. I doubt anyone will be able to drive tomorrow but we'll see.

everyone in my city is excited for next week when it will "warm up" to a balmy -11C

also im pretty sure its impossible to dress cool in these temps. you basically need to be wearing every warm article of clothing you own under a ski parka and you need to wear either snowpants or long johns + thick pants if you want to use public transit or walk anywhere. every kind of coat that isn't a ski parka is pure ideology at this point

The irony is that Maharishi snow pants aren't that warm.

Though I do have a wool pair which would work in the conditions you describe.
