Desktop's totally unremarkable but here's my phone layout

What is the point in a sparse phone home screen. It literally has no purpose except launching apps fast or maybe displaying widgets. You can't stare at it in meditative contemplation

It makes me work for things so I don't compulsively reach for my phone and cycle through apps.

takes more than a few app folders to overcome my compulsions.

agreed re: making opening e.g. ig an opt-in instead of opt-out (i.e. forcing oneself to manually search for the app "instagram") but also to like. remind me of stuff i'm "supposed to be doing" with calendar (and sometimes reminders) widgets immediately there and standalone ... if there is nothing else on the screen, i can't get distracted from the scheduling that past-planning me did and is trying to wrangle current-hedonistic me into doing

also lots of stuff overwhelms me lol

bela the key is to move stuff like, monthly, so you never get used to where it is

boy howdy it sure sounds like a toxic relationship with these damn fucking phones if we are trying to evade finding the fucking apps we put on there
