Been watching older F1 stuff and the name Benetton kept popping up and some part of my head was like wait the t-shirt guys? Nah can't be.

Looked them up and their wiki is a wholeass thing. Not really sure what I was expecting.

It is current -9 degrees Fahrenheit (-22C), so naturally I am thinking a lot about Spring/Summer fits for future, warmer me.

I really enjoy wearing white in the summer. Simple white tees, white cotton shorts, and white scarves for sun protection.

However the best version of this is a dingy/dirty white, in my opinion. Things bruised by living/time.

I bought some deer antler tips for a hat project a few winters ago and recently rediscovered the bag of extras. I think I'll try to incorporate them as they are the perfect example of dirty-white.

I was also able to thrift a necklace made of tiers of abalone shell discs. Another strange not quite white.

Anyway.. we'll see how this turns out in a few months. Hope everyone in the northern hemisphere is staying cozy.

Now that they've banned imgur in this country this whole forum looks wild.

My own fault for not keeping the mastodon server running and providing y'all with an easy image upload function.

Past Lives but it's about what if I had the money for one of the beautiful japanese second-hand mystery boxes from c-t 1, back when that was happening

It's been a long, long time since I saw a fashion presentation that resonated with me deeply. This changed with the Fall 2026 Prada presentation. The way the outfits were shown, shedding various layers, keeping everything both lived-in yet new, was beautiful. The clothes themselves were beautiful, striking a balance between sumptuous and disintegrating. To me, a sign of a GREAT show is one that makes you think, how can I adapt this approach to getting dressed in my own life, with my own clothes. Needless to say, I was inspired to go through my entire wardrobe, regardless of season, and select an edit of pieces to attempt to "dress like a Prada girl" (words I never, NEVER thought I would utter).

As for the critique of "poverty cosplay": as someone who will likely never be able to afford luxury clothing, I think Raf's nod to working-class garments come across as celebratory, not sardonic (looking at you, Demna). He seems to try to highlight the beauty of the everyday (a bottom-up energy, if you will), versus highlighting the ridiculousness of luxury (a top-down energy). Speaking personally, this collection made me feel chic. I too have wrinkled pink button downs and gray overcoats. At the risk of hyperbole, it made me feel seen.

I'm going to try to take and share some photos of my Prada-style fits :D
