Re: music is life
Lullaby for the Working Class is a Saddle Creek band that received no attention, receives no plays, and has been making me happy lately. I think I saved their albums in November of last year when I saved just about every name mentioned, in a 20-year period, on the rateyourmusic forums, in the context of “folk post-rock.” Lullaby for the Working Class are some specific blend of Rusted Root and The National that I can’t explain because I got to Brooklyn too late. Their name is just gauche enough, nowadays, that it heralds them in appropriately.
They’re good though, I swear. You might need to believe in earnestness, but they’re good.
This song includes “A moment on the lips / a lifetime on the lips,” which reminds me of when people online would argue about whether or not Interpol had bad lyrics?

Not that this is a song that I spend a lot of time listening to, but every time this thread comes up it pops into my head:

Back on my shoegaze bullshit, huge sound on this one
Re: music is life
I have a perceptual overstimulation thing and ambient music really helps with that, so it's mostly what I listen to.

Re: music is life
this is by far the most bombastic, intense, and addicting dance record i've heard in the past year
also the new woesum (producer from stockholm... don't think i need to say any more than that) album is pretty hit or miss, but holy shit is this song an absolute DRAINED bulls eye
