Everyone is huddled into spoons on a Friday evening just opposite Yates and Argos, chatter is loud but the crowd is hushed by the starting of mike skinners lights. The bar is cleared and the models walk down the bar of the venue where the fashionistas are gathered, past the taps and pork scratchings and dressed in a variety of track pants and sweaters with prints of associated imagery. As the models come on and off it becomes that it's clear there is 4 distinct colour themes and they're sorted by postcodes, the colours are representative of a Stella can, a fosters can, a carlsburg can and a strongbow can. The models all walk out the door as they Finish then dispersing into clubs around the area to which the guests are invited to join them on a gyro night out.

MMM FW16: Models walk the wrong way along a travelator, rendering them immobile despite the forward motion of their stride. Eventually they begin to tire and, as their pace falls, they are desposited one-by-one into a giant ballpit positioned at the end of the runway.

Attendees leave galvanised by the sense that to some extent we are all walking the wrong way along a travelator with a ballpit at one end. This feeling is accentuated by the fact they are being forced to leave the venue by walking the wrong way along a travelator with a ballpit at one end.

show in a warehouse. crowd gathers around a large circle in the center. models only wearing a pair of underwear start entering the ring. clothing begins to fall from above, the models fight each other to get the pieces they feel are best suited for their outfit. after enough clothes fall, you have a bloodied and bruised rough and ready model walk around the circle while the model wearing the dopest fit hoists a champion's belt over his head.

An elderly west country man sits on a chair at the end of the catwalk and describes each look individually from a lookbook while drinking a cup of tea. He's free to ramble, opine and embellish as much as he likes. Noise and drone music grates in the background.

I always thought it would be hilarious to gather 30-40 people from traditionally fashion unconscious areas of the world...like 45 year old soccer moms from Omaha, ranchers from Texas, or oil rig workers from Alberta. Ask them to critique each piece of your collection individually worn by models (best to imagine something like RO meets CdG) and to be as candid as they like (could even tell them the retail prices for best reactions) , film it and select the most candid/offensive/hilarious responses, Edit them together and play it on a big project screen above the runway as the models walk out.

''That's the ugliest thing I've ever seen.''

'What the fuck is that? Who would ever wear that?''

"What kinda dumbass would pay $800 for this shit?!"

I imagine you would get a ton of golden responses, probably some more homophobic or derogatory than I care to imagine.

Runway modeled after a theatre stage. Enter a man on a horse in appropriate clothing. A second man (or woman) comes by and helps him dismount. This person leads the horse rider to the "center" and begins disrobing him. An outfit is brought out. Clearly opulent, or at least well tailored. The second person helps the man try on these clothes. He paces back and forth and looks at a mirror. He finds some aspect of his outfit not to his liking and makes the tailor get him another piece. This is repeated a few times. Eventually the king is satisfied and the tailor leaves. The king disrobes and puts on bedclothes. The lights turn off and back on. A man in peasant's clothes can be seen lurking in the corner of the stage. The tailor comes by again and helps the king put on an outfit. The tailor leaves. The peasant rushes the king and throws him to the ground. He begins ripping off the king's clothing before handing him a prisoner's garb. The king stands huddled by a set of gallows in this garb. The peasant goes through the king's clothes and tries on a few outfits and laughs at each one of them. Eventually he puts on something acceptable. Sunday's best. He kneels and prays his these clothes. The lights focus onto the praying peasant and the king awaiting death. The rest of the lights are off. Eventually those two spotlights also turn off.

Gigantic wearhouse sized room. In the center is a large swimming pool, but due to the lighting, only one half is visible, while the rest of the pool recedes into the darkness of the room. The audience sits surrounding the flaxy side of the pool.
From the darkness of the water the head of the first model can be seen emerging as he swims from the water of the dark side of the unseen pool. The model walks out from the pool, fully clothed and walks a few feet out from the edge of the water, turns around and walks back to reemerge and disappear back into the water.
By this time the next model is rising up from the water.

Guests are led to a graveyard. All eyes are on Thom. He, in his newly designed tuxedo, is floating in the middle of this graveyard. In front of each gravestone is a small hole. The music starts. Thom, holding a baton, raises his hands swiftly and starts composing along with the music. With each time his hands move upwards, a model climbs out of the hole. When the model climbs all the way out, he takes a few steps forward and the music stops. The music is then played backwards and the model walks backwards back into the hole. There's secretly an underground cavern in which models can change and climb out of different holes. The process repeats until all the pieces are shown. Thom turns around to bow and a beam of light comes down above his head and magically zaps him into a spaceship. The spaceship zooms off while leaving confetti which is calculated to land in the correct spot and amazingly spells "Have a great day care-tags".

Burberry went from a brand with 'zero fashion cache' in early 2000 due to the saturation of it's check (and subsequent proletarian drift), to the global luxury leader it is today through gaining utmost control by cutting down on contracting of it's items, establishing it's own retail stores and recruitment of Bailey to design the Prosum line. Though despite this turnaround, there are two products Burberry still doesn't have upmost control over: it's watches and it's sunglasses. Burberry's history is rooted in exploration, with the first Everest climb and record breaking aviation occurring all with the explorers kitted out in full Burberry garb. This coincidentally coincides with Burberrys largest growing segment the east, wherein Burberrys strong "country of origin" effect ties into this British spirit of exploration. An unexploited segment appears.

Burberry Prosum A/W 15

Months before LFW, unusually, Burberry logos are in place of Rolex/Tag advertisement on Aviation event sponsorship. The tagline on all current Burberry advertisements elsewhere are changed to "no such thing as bad weather". The mystery of these abnormal advertisements is only heightened when the press arriving at LFW are directed into UK standard issue logistics trucks by jumpsuit and aviator uniformed men. This is all done in military like precision of timing, recorded to the time unannounced uniformed mens chronograph watches. After an uncomfortable ride down Englands finest non-sensical small roads to the suburbs, a disused British green aircraft hanger appears over the horizon. The hangar is empty, outside of large disused propellors fans mounted on the ceiling turning slowly and parallel ammo crates arranged as benches.

Before the the press are seated, they are lined up outside the hanger and upon entrance issued and instructed to wear their iconic classic double breasted trench, but with military issue numbers printed crudely in white behind the collar. Surprised by the fact they've just been given an coat in the summer, taken outside of London without notice and just had a ride in the back of a truck at the orders of uncommunicative men, they are directed to the crates for the show to start. In the ambient confused chatter of the crowd, two unannounced jumpsuited men march onto the runway, holding plane signal indicators. The overhead propellors slowly start to accelerate. The shutters on the far side of the hangars are lifted. Ride of the Valkyries starts fading in the background slowly creeping up to volume 11. Simultaneously with the initial crescendo of the piece, the press and front row celebs are blasted by an enormous torrent of air. Models appear from the shutters in line, braving the air onslaught above, sheltered by their Prosum shearing coats, flight leather caps and goggles — unlike the few celebs/press who decided not to wear their issued trenches in vanity. Photographers start to rapidly photos of these unfazed, polarised lens covered models striding down the runway against the backdrop of the press experiencing mild windy chaos.

Runway after runway of classic trenches, Prosum iconic leathers (but rather A2's and MA-1's rather than DR's) and gold buttoned navy Royal Air Force blazers are presented. Black officers boots and buzzcuts are on all models. Once the models depart, the fans slow and the show seems to have finished, the ruffled crowd await for Bailey to appear.

The shutter of the hangar lifts slowly above head height, whilst an check clad spitfire piloted by Bailey rolls down the runway (literally) — a single wave is given by Christopher before accelerating out of the hangar and subsequently taking off. Whilst the press are left speechless, the models swiftly pile into the press's inbound trucks and leave everyone in the countryside, out of the reach of uber. The outrage is so large by the attendees that their tweets reach every man, woman and child in the developed world. Burberry stock soars. Online direct from runway orders go crazy. Their position in the outwear game can never be touched. The worn coats become priceless collectables. Bailey is never seen again.

The show in an open warehouse. The catwalk is just duct tape on the concrete floor. One by one, the models walk to the end of the catwalk, where a podium stands. There, they read poetry from Keats, Whitman, Silverstein, Dickinson, Frost, and more. One poem per outfit. Initial response is generally positive.

A week later, an enhanced video of the show is released. As each model speaks, colors hover round them, changing minutely with changes in voice. The title of the video is the same as the season title, with the addition of a subheading: "As it's meant to be". It is accompanied by an explanation video. With the aid of someone with synesthesia, models were picked not only for how they wear the clothes, but the color of their voice. Outfits were chosen to compliment the voices.

Giant warehouse, completely dark. Press are seated on an elevated platform in the center, arranged in a ring. The only light comes from a huge revolving spotlight. The models are all arranged in a circle around the platform, staring with dead eyes as the light sweeps around. The only sound is the quiet rustling of the hands on the tent

The models walk out as normal, wearing all one of a kind couture pieces but after each on reaches the end of the runway, they remove the clothes and pile them up. Each walking back naked.

After the last model walks back, the designer walks to the end, waves thank you as the lights dim. The designer then sets all the garments on fire and walks away.

The excitable audience sit in a horseshoe formation around a large circular expanse of water. The liquid froths and bubbles theatrically. At the centre of the pool there is a glass orb, 12 feet high and built of triangular glass panels. There is a purplish hue to the glass and the water below, as if a young art director, overworked and underslept, pointed lazily at a Dulux colour wheel and happened upon Methylated Spritz.

The lights go down. A spotlight appears, and our host is revealed. He's bald, with leathery skin and a bespoke Galliano matadors outfit.

From beneath the foaming water a drawbridge rises forebodingly, connecting the glass ball to the edge of the pool. 90s europop cranks up and a dozen models strut across, holding poses within the ball. The drawbridge lowers, the door to the ball is closed and the wind machines start, pumping hundreds of gold tokens into the air. The matador sounds the alarm and the models fling themselves about the glass orb, grabbing at the tokens.

30 seconds pass. The models begin to tire. None realise that they can catch just as many tokens if they don't bother jumping.

10 seconds to go. A heel snaps; bad choice. Someone's nose is bleeding.

The timer clicks to 0 and the lights come up. The europop fades away abruptly, as if suddenly aware of its own banality. The gold tokens are counted and one model is presented with a caravan holiday for two in South Yorkshire. The others receive a commemorative crystal ball.

The matador takes his own life.

All of the clothes worn by models are white or a single color. Largely focusing on shape and silhouette while colors and patterns are projected onto them. Multiple fans blowing so the clothes move about and disrupt the images projected onto them. Also, mirrors everywhere disrupt the projections even more so. The projections morph gradually to fit the next model as they walk out to replace the previous. Panda Bear (the musician) playing in the background.

The models are told to go to an undisclosed location the day of the show, an inconspicuous looking building with no decernible markings or signs. Upon entry each model is alone in a white room with no windows, audience, desgner, employees or anything inside but a small table and an outfit. The model stands in place after confusingly putting on the outfit. Then removing it and leaving.

Each models time in the room is broadcasted online as the show.

The North face black label (Icelandic exclusive) fw2018

Sponsored by Johnnie Walker (God bless) and carling brewery.

The room is frigid, like -20°C. Snow has been trucked in to build benches as seating. The Runway is 2 narrow channels of water that connect at the end in a little u, with mini icebergs that the models float on. They stand motionless, all wearing ski goggles, except for when they reach the u at the end of the runway where they remove a flask from their back pocket and drink desperately. Einar Kristgeirsson opens the show as the first model. Radric Davis is the final one walking but since he's wearing tinted goggles you don't even notice.

Everything is made of down, even the tee shirts and the belts. Shoes are all vintage raichle flexons. All jackets have the "hey fuck face" half dome in place of the normal one.

The same day everyone receives their invitation Tommy Ton gets a letter that just says "get fucked" on it.

Belabartok FW2009 "Every day the same dream (The Temp)"

The runway is in the center of a low arched tunnel with the seating on either side upholstered in British Transport fabrics. Vertical poles are spaced out at intervals. The overall impression is of a tube carriage with the audience sat in aisle seats. The models enter one or two at a time through the seating, stand listlessly on the catwalk for a few minutes and then leave.

To open models are dressed in technical jackets, loose fit shirts in white, pale blue or grey tucked into pooling black formal polyester trousers. footwear is white technical runners or black puffy skate shoes. All carry bulging nylon backpacks on both shoulders and wear black earbuds. Soundtrack is a Teach Yourself German audiobook.

As these models leave the "train" they are replaced with others without headphones who have swapped their trainers for black derbies with oversized all traction soles. All shirts are tucked in. Black or all grey suiting is shown, all three button with all three buttons fastened. Ties are undimpled and tied with a symmetrical knot, short side tucked into shirt openings. Some models hold cups of coffee.

These models are further replaced. Polyester trousers are replaced by jeans with the same black derbies. Ties are worn looser. Shirts are untucked and shirt buttons are gradually undone further and further. Shirts have yellow or brown "stains" along the chest. Make up suggests black eyes or burst lips. Soundtrack is a pleasant background chatter which gives way to screaming wordless fracas. At its peak all models leave the "train" at the same time.

All then re enter with the same make up and disturbed shirting but wearing the black polyester trousers, earbuds, backpacks, trainers and technical outerwear from the start of the show. Audio returns to a Teach Yourself German audiobook.

I have no idea how you would even begin to handle the logistics of this, but I guess that's not really the point of the thread..

So instead of models, you have your clothes on the recently deceased. The audience walks down through long hallways and at intervals there's propped up coffins, coins on the eyes, arms folded across the chest, A/W items delicately put on their cold slowly decaying bodies. Sorry, no view of the back of the outfit. After you go through the whole show you emerge upon a grassy hill. It's raining, you're given a black umbrella, and then you bury the dead.

Iralanwitnuk A/W 2025: "Exhaustion"

The audience is bussed to the outskirts of town. They pull up at the entrance to a junkyad for cars and other vehicles and they all pile out and walk inside. Employees of the junkyard usher the audience inside assorted cars which are arranged to face a path that stretches from the entrance to a large pile of spare parts at the other end.

At this point, the sun has set for the most part and it is statting to get dark. The high beams on the cars all turn on and illuminate the "runway", the dirt road in the middle of the cars. The stereos of all the different cars turn on, and an instrumental track with audio samples of car noises (honking, accelerating, the noise it makes when you don't buckle your seatbelt, etc.) start to play.

The mass at the end of the yard starts to shift about, and the audience cranks their necks to see it. From the top, small masses start to fall to the ground and begin walking down the runway. It's the models! The whole collection utilizes car parts to make elegant, couture dresses that all use the leather or the fabric used in seats. Some of the models carry clutch bags made from the sub visors in the front of the car, and others have bags made from the detachable headrests. Jewelery is crafted from engine parts. The models walk down another path not previously apparent, and the audience sees them take off their dresses and put them in the compacter and walk out as the music fades.
